*4 years later*

The little girl with the blonde hair and grey eyes running about the meadow screaming with delight as the little boy with brown hair and blue eyes runs behind her struggling to keep up on his legs.

Willow and Luke Mellark my children.

Sometimes memories come back and I can't tell them why, the only thing I can tell them is the song.

Deep in the meadow, under the willow, a bed of grass, a soft green pillow. Lay down your head and close your eyes and when they open the sun will rise. Here where it's safe, here where it's warm, here where the daisies guard you harm. Here your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow they will come true. Here is the place I love you.

My children who don't know they play on a graveyard. Peeta says it will be ok. We have each other. We have the book. We can make them understand in a way that will make them braver. But one day I will have to explain about my nightmares. Why they came. Why they won't really go away.

I'll tell them how to survive it. I'll tell them on bad mornings, it feels impossible to take pleasure in anything, because I'm afraid that it could be taken away. That's when I make a list in my head of every act of goodness I've seen someone do. Its like a game. Repetitive. Even a little tedious after more than twenty years. But there are much worst games to play.
