Chapter 8| The Love I Lost
Lucy's POV:
Dammit what should I write...and what can I write in one hour? I thought of it for one minute and I remembered, the day I met Natsu...but I can't mention his name....not in class at least. I look over to Zeref's paper and he quickly turns his paper around so I won't see.
I asked suspiciously, "What are you gonna write?"
He scratched the back of his neck, "Uh....the day I ate the best ice cream?"
I giggled and I just started writing.
Natsu's POV:
Alright class the bell's gonna ring so I'm gonna collect your papers and you may go to the bathroom or drink water, or just stay sitting talking.
I went to Lucy's desk and I saw the page was filled front and back. I wonder what she wrote. She looked at me a bit disappointed but I smiled to her. She rolled her eyes playfully and started talking to Levy. I can't forget about Lucy...I just can't. I grabbed Zeref's paper and he just gave me the sign that means 'shame on you' and I just rolled my eyes at him.
The bell rang to get back to class and I shuffled the papers to read them aloud.
I cleared my throat, "Ok class, I'm gonna randomly choose people's essay to read and I will announce their names in the end."
Everyone groaned in response and I just smiled and laughed, "Aww, C'mon it's better than you guys saying who you are and what do you like to do, now is it?"
Zeref replied, "Actually that's better.."
I shook my head while smiling, "Well too bad. Alright the first one is...oh.." It was Zeref's...YAY! *lazy yay*
I smirked and read out loud while I walked, "The best part of my summer vacation was getting to meet my childhood friend, Lucy, but I call her Lushie. The thing I liked most about her is that she's kind and never negative. She's always positive. But the thing that I hated about this summer is that Lucy denied my offer in being her boyfriend. She was already dating a crazy person who talks to his cat since he has nothing better to do. I wish I was there sooner, but I was too late. I hope she'll reach out to me though and we could still be best buds like before! She was my first love and she will always be mine! I hope we can get to catch up to each other while we're both attending Magnolia University. Oh, and I forgot to say that my brother is a bit weird during vacation...he keeps dropping his cat...anywho That's what I liked about my summer." Everyone laughed at the last part and I continued, "That was well written Zeref but make sure you don't put too many periods."
The next one I started reading was Jenny's. I read aloud, "Hi, My best part of summer was that My boyfriend Sting broke up with me. I was thankful actually. I met this guy at a Library Cafe and he was really nice. I think his name was Zero or something. But his brother is pretty handsome. I hope he becomes mine..LOL. That was a fun summer in my opinion." I cleared my throat as I felt a bit disgusted by that girl. I continued, "Good job Jenny, but no abbreviations and I'm also glad that Sting broke up with you."
Jenny laughed, "I know...WAIT WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!"
I said, "Moving on..."
~~~TIME SKIP TO LUCY'S ESSAY (IT WAS THE LAST ONE)~~~
"Ok, Roge next time try not to say that darkness will consume you, because it won't."
He nodded and I continued, alright this last one is..." I stopped and it was Lucy's.
I read aloud, "I had a great summer but it was more fun when I met this pretty interesting guy. I met him after I accidentally spilled coffee on him while I was reading my book. I was pretty much surprised at the fact that after that incident, my feelings bloomed like a cherry blossom. I was pretty happy that I met this man because he was funny, talented, and he was weird at the same time. We hung out many times but my favorite one was when we went to Charlie's Trio and everything wasn't as it was planned, but he made me feel better about myself. We walked into this beautiful and intriguing store and he got us both a souvenir, to remember our first date. It was a Fairy Tail Insignia and we both got one. He had a red one and I have a pink one. Ever since that Marvelous date, a love for him erupted my thoughts. I couldn't stop thinking about him. But, everything went out pretty much fine. His brother made me feel satisfied about myself and my feelings. I was actually scared to be in love but now I feel pretty good. I'm really happy I met him, and I hope he feels the same way as I do. But the one mistake that I regret from that summer is making him feel pressured with this woman that wanted him back. I made him feel bad for me after she insulted me. I really didn't want him to get involved with me, but now I just can't stop looking at him. My heart always goes doki doki and I can never get my eyes off of him. I don't know what to do, but if he doesn't feel the same way, I'm fine with that...as long as he doesn't break my heart. I'm like a glass basically, I can break easily but yet I'm still sensitive. I will never regret the day I met that weirdo, because he was my first love...he was my Secret Lover."
I looked up to Lucy and she was blushing 50 shades of red and everyone awed in the end. I didn't know she felt that way. My poor Luce.
I said as I looked at the class, "This one will remain a secret, you know who you are. You did a good job using metaphors and similes. This was one of the best one's that I've read in my two years of teaching. I want everyone to give that person a round of applause. I know it's not fair but they wrote in the bottom to keep their name a secret."
Everyone applauded and the bell rang. I said as everyone packed, "Alright your homework for tonight is to write a quick write about a fictional story. Everyone will write their own fictional story of a hero, love, tragedy, or of life. That's your homework, a quick write."
Everyone left except for Lucy and Zeref. Lucy was looking at her desk and Zeref was staring at me. I said as I went to see if there's anyone in the school hallways. The Close is Clear.
I told Zeref. Zeref go home and feed Happy I'll meet you in an hour."
Zered nodded, "Fine..."
I sat in Zeref's seat since it was next to Lucy's and I said, "Hiya Luce."
Lucy looked at me, "I didn't know...I'm sorry.."
I laughed, "What are you sorry for?"
Lucy looked at me as a tear ran down her cheek, "I'm sorry you had to get involved with me."
I grabbed her shoulder, "Lucy, I know I can't date my students...but I can't break the rule, I don't want you to get expelled."
Lucy cried even more, "I u-understand."
She got up and grabbed her stuff, "It was nice knowing you..."
I grabbed her wrist, "Lucy.."
She said as she struggled under my grasp, "Let go of me.."
She said as she cried, "I don't want you anymore! I knew I shouldn't have trusted my instincts with you!"
I said as I let her go, "Lucy..I can explain!"
She said as she stopped in the middle of the room, "I thought...we had something.."
Dammit, she doesn't understand, I said a bit too rude, "Lucy! I can't be with you! I can't let you get expelled!"
She yelled, "I DON'T CARE! I JUST WANT TO BE WITH YOU!"
I stood up and said seriously, "You can't! Dammit Lucy! You don't understand!"
She yelled, "What don't I understand?!"
I said as I clenched my fists, "I can't do this to you! You make me feel like I want you! I can't break that rule! I can't lose you!"
Lucy said, "So, you rather listen to the rules? Rules can be broken! There's no boundaries in love!"
I said as I didn't think of what I said, "I wish I never met you! I regret that!"
Lucy's eyes widened in shock, "I...I'm sorry that I made you regret that."
I noticed what I said, "NO LUCE! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!"
Lucy ran out of the class and Zeref yelled her name and ran after her. He heard everything...I lost her. I lost the one I loved. I'm sorry Luce....I'm sorry. I clenched my fist and I punched the window that was close by me. My knuckles began to bleed. I screwed up...
That's Chapter 8 My peeps. Poor Natsu...he didn't mean it he just wanted her to understand, *sighs*. Until Next time! :)
