The night grew colder and her father's scent grew stronger. When she passed the graveyard she knew her father had gotten lost. Her thick, lush, black fur bristled at the thought of him getting hurt. On impulse she howled long and deep. All of her worries were put into this one single cry of fear.

She stopped to get her mind back onto Earth and her nose into the wind. The smell of blood became prominent when she came to the denser part of the woods. Dogs, another man, and the smell of tears wafted into her nose. Her father was in danger. So she quickened her step down through the patch of trees.

Then she saw them, a large and rich looking man, her father, and five large black hounds. If she was going to have to kill a human to save her father then she would. Though she knew she would have to be in her human form for that. She decided that she would when the dogs started to bark. Which wasn't long. That same burning feeling wrecked through her body as two human feet slammed the ground replacing her previous four wolf paws.

The dogs sounded much bigger than they smelled. Interesting. Beauty then sprung out of the tree line onto a road she didn't know existed. She turned to see her father, broken nose covered by a handkerchief in hand, sitting next to an intimidating man. The man waved a hand and the dogs silenced.

"Who are you?" He asked with his green eyes blazing.

"Beauty." That was all she could say. The man looked over at her father and seemed pleased. Then the man stood back up.

"You may call me by "The Beast". Don't give me such a look of rage and hatred. I spared your father's life, but I don't feel too generous today." The Beast smirked and the hounds started to growl again. Beauty readied herself for a fight.

"Wait!" Her father yelled as he tried to get up, "Please don't attack her. She won't come back ever again if you just let her go."

The Beast gave her father a questioning look, "As I said before, the punishment is death but she may take your place if she does it willingly."

"Take his place for what?" Beauty inquired.

"For trespassing on my land. I am letting him live if he agrees to be captive in my personal mansion for the rest of his life. The exception is that someone may take his place if they willingly went into captivity." The Beast explained.

Without a second after the Beast stopped Beauty said, "I will take my father's place willingly, staying for the rest of my life."

"No, Beauty. You're only 19. You have a life left to live!" Her father cried.

"Father, that is enough. I'm tired of being beaten and mocked on a daily basis. Sorry, I never told you that, but if meaning that the abuse would end at the price of never seeing you or Gus again while being captive in a mansion for the rest of my life. That is a decision I will take." Beauty barked out.

Then one of the dogs jumped at beauty. "No!" The Beast yelled. Beauty simply caught the dog by its thick neck and wrapped her claws around its neck. Soon she had severed his neck into two. She threw the dog's body on the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Beauty's father gasped. She walked towards the Beast who was nearly seven feet tall. Looking up at him she said, "Let my father go, please."

"As you wish." The Beast sighed and the dogs quickly quieted. The remaining four walked up the road to the mansion on the mountain side.

Looking back at her father once more she nodded him goodbye. Beauty then turned to follow the four large dogs in found of her with the Beast coming up the rear.
