There are two kinds of people in the world, there are the weak and there are the strong. The weak are subject to the strong. It’s how the world works, both worlds. In the human world the strong and the weak are everywhere in a constant power struggle trying to find out who is stronger and who is weaker. But in the werewolf world we already know. The strong ones are the Alphas and everyone else must follow them. Well most everyone else, there are some exceptions there are people that follow no Alpha and those people are called Rouges. That’s where I fall; I am one of those exceptions, Rouge.
I guess I should give you a back round check. My name is Alicia Wren; I am nineteen years old and 5’9”. I have long dark brown wavy hair with sun given highlights. My eyes are grey with specks of silver. There are a few things you’ll need to know about me. The first is pretty obvious; I’m a werewolf and the second is I’m a Rouge werewolf. Rouges don’t belong to any packs and there are three ways to become Rouge. The first is when a wolf decides to leave his or hers pack and intentionally goes Rouge. The second is a little harsher; a wolf can be kicked out of their pack. And finally the last way is if you’re born Rouge. The last is my deal.
I have never been a part of any pack and I’m glad. The way packs work is the Alpha is king and the Beta is his second in command then the Theta and so on. Anything the Alpha says is law. You have no choice you have to follow their command. That isn’t the life for me. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to live like that.
But on to the last thing you have to know about me. When I was 7 my parents died. I’ve been on my own for the past 12 years.
Don’t let that fool you into thinking I don’t have family. Trust me sometimes that might just be easier, because right now my two idiot cousins have me doing something really stupid to help them out of trouble. Again. Here I am going to the border of the Lakewood pack to cross it. I am an idiot.
Oh, you don’t know about the Lakewood pack. Well the first rule for any Rouge that doesn’t want to die a slow and torturous death is to never go near the Lakewood pack. For a Rouge to willingly go near, or God actually trespass onto the Lakewood pack territory was one of three things; looking to die, really desperate or really stupid.
I was really stupid and a little desperate. You see my twin cousins have this really bad habit of pissing people off. I love the two to death and sometimes I’d love to beat them to death. The two 17 year olds were troublemakers, so am I but unlike me they don’t have the skill it takes to avoid getting into situations like the one they’re in.
Kyle and Kristen were going to God knows where and decided to jump pack territory. In doing so they had done something to cause a riff among the pack and the Alpha had them in custody. They had gotten in to trouble needed the master of troublemaking to talk their way out of it.
The good thing was the pack was small and decided to give them a chance because of their young age. The bad thing is I was only given a few days to go to the pack and the Lakewood pack was too large to go around and reach the twins in time.
“Dammit,” I whispered softly too apprehensive of my situation to speak too loudly. “You two seriously owe for this.” I looked around the motel I was in and it still reminded me of Supernatural. I love the show and Dean is hot. He’s hotter than Sam, let’s be real.
“Focus Ally,” I murmured to myself. The only reason I was in the motel was so I could shower. I’ve been in my wolf form for the past three days and it was heaven to be clean. I had on an old pair of holey jeans and a t-shirt. I didn’t plan on being human for long. I grabbed my backpack and the motel room key and went to the check-in office.
