The next couple of days were spent in the room but after the incident I'm no overly eager to be with the Alpha more then I need to. Ah speak of the wolf. "Alicia."
"Alpha." I replied and turned back to the book I was reading. Under the Dome. Lydia gave it to me.
"I told you to call me Marcus." He sighed.
I decided he didn't need my response. I think I was wrong because he took my book. "Hey!"
I snapped my gaze to look as him as he set the book down on the desk. At least he kept my page. "Your cousin wants to take you s-"
"I'm not going shopping." I answered in my professional tone. "And if I do then you run the risk of me becoming a Rouge again. I believe it is in both our interest if Lydia does not succeed in her attempt to torture me."
"You have this very analogical voice that you use a lot." The Alpha said. "When ever you're trying to get things to work out a certain way."
"I find that it's easier to get the desired result if you take out emotions that aren't necessary to the outcome." I respond in the same voice as before. I guess I do use it a lot. Huh.
"And what desired result are you trying to get?" He asked.
"What response is there that will end this conversation?" I sighed.
"I am your mate-"
"You are my Alpha above being my mate." I cut him off. "And that is the way our relationship is always going to be. Which is why I want a separate room from you. I'll even room with the twins."
"No." He said. "You stay here with me."
"Why?"
"Because I said so."
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Because you said so? Do know how many times I've used that on the twins? That's what parent's say to their children. I want a valid reason."
"Because you are my mate."
"I said valid reason."
"That is valid." He said.
"This is an Alpha-pack member relationship." I said. "Therefor it is not valid. This is enforced by the lack of mate like activities. So any valid reasons."
He was silent for a moment then he tilted my face up and kissed me. I made a noise of surprise at the kiss. He pulled away after a few seconds and said, "There is your valid reason."
"That's not a reason!" I sputtered. "That's just... it makes no sense. You make no sense."
He chuckled, "Really?"
"There is no box for you to fit into. You are an Alpha! And yet... Ugh!" I feel like tearing my hair out and he chuckled again. What happened to the detached Alpha? I liked that Alpha. He's less frustrating.
"I don't plan on fitting into one of your boxes Alicia." He whispered into my ear.
"Why the fuck not? What is wrong with boxes?" I half scream. "Why won't you just fit into one of them?"
"It drives you crazy." He smirked
I let out a frustrated noise, "What the hell happened to you?"
He cupped my face and brought my lips to his. I felt his tongue probe my lower lip but I didn't open them until he jerked me closer to him and they parted in surprise. He forced his tongue into my mouth without giving me a chance to fight him on it. My body reacted to his without my consent and I moaned into his mouth.
