Holy shit, you're here.
Your cosplay is together, you have a schedule, and you're hyped as frick.
But oh my god, there's more people here than you could imagine.
You dip your head to avoid swords and cameras, all being moved about. You feel slightly insecure about your costume, after seeing all the professionals here. And the masses of people are scary.

Don't worry, we've all been there.
Depending on the con you go to, there are numerous amounts of people and crowds. In larger convention halls, it may be emptier in places, though.
If you're in a group, it's super important to stay together and with the schedule. If you're by yourself, then make sure you have everything with you at all times.
You will, inevitably, want to ask for pictures. So many amazing cosplayers in one spot! Documentation is almost unavoidable.
This goes the other way, too.
You may or may not be asked for pictures by other people, depending on if you cosplay. When this happens, smile, be polite, and either decline or accept. Also, have them specify whether they just want a picture of you, or a picture together. You really want to be nice to other con-goers, as you don't know who else is new.
Keep calm, keep cool, and keep your shit together. You'll survive.
