"Argh! Give it back!" Katie screamed as she fired yet another energy beam, but the lion she was fighting jumped to its right to dodge. This looked like no ordinary lion, though; it was black and purple in color, it's eyes were a glowing green, it had demon-like horns on the sides of its head, and to top it all off, it was five times the size of a normal lion.
The ferocious creature growled in response to Katie's outburst and shook his head with the tub of ice-cream clutched between its jaws in a teasing manner.
"Alright, that's it! I'M GOING SUPER SAIYAN NOW!!" Katie scowled with glowing white eyes. Her hair began to levitate and she was surrounded by a fiery blue aura. The earth below her even seemed to shake as she yelled, "GIVE BACK MY ICE-CREAM OR ELSE!"
The demonic lion then backed away a few steps with a terrified expression. Then, dropping the tub of ice-cream onto the ground, it ran away with a series of terrified, high-pitched roars.
"HAH!" Katie grinned and calmed herself down before landing in front of her ice-cream. Then she sat down and poofed up a spoon for herself. Upon opening the lid of the ice-cream tub, her nose picked up the scent of cookies 'n' cream.
"Mmmm..." she drooled. Using the spoon, she scooped up some ice cream and brought it up to her mouth, not wanting to wait another moment to eat.
"KATIIEE!!" Nicole's voice rang in her ears.
Katie gasped and shot up in her bed. Looking around, she saw that she was now in her dorm room at Alfea. Suddenly, her irises and pupils were replaced with flames. "IT WAS JUST A DREAM?!"
Nicole backed away from her bed, saying, "Geez! Chill!"
"CHILL?!" Katie grabbed onto her own hair and her eyes reverted back to normal. "I was about to have some well-deserved ice-cream..."
"Well right now, ice-cream is beside the point. Classes start today!"
And with that, Katie leaped out of bed without hesitation. She took her clothes from the closet and dashed outside to the bathroom. Within five minutes, she was already back the dorm room, all dressed up and ready to go.
"Damn," Nicole raised her eyebrows. "You're fast!"
She then grabbed her clothes and raced out of the room to see if she could top Katie's speed. Much to Nicole's disappointment, Katie turned out to be the victor.
"Okay, fine, you win," she made a pouty face. "Now come on. We haven't even seen our roomies yet."
"Oh, yeah, you're right," Katie walked over to her bedside drawer to pick up her class schedule and Nicole followed suit. Then, the two went into the common room to see two of their other roommates, chatting away amongst each other. The room fell silent once they laid their eyes on the two younger girls.
"So you were the one the headmistress talked to us about," the girl with multi-colored hair and and blue eyes said. "I'm Vy (*pronounced Vee*), fairy of the rainbow."
"And I'm Skyla, fairy of the heavens," the girl with blonde hair introduced herself.
Nicole then introduced herself. "I'm Nicole, fairy of illusions."
"And I'm Katie, fairy of the Crystal Flames."
Suddenly, the door to their other roommates dorm burst open. "Oh is that so?"
