Chapter 1: Intro (Maya)

Maya Pov

I was laying in my bed looking at my alarm clock with a look that could kill

"Shut up" I said as I hit my hand on the top of the alarm clock to turn it off. I got up and went into my bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. Dang I look like a monster. Anyway i took shower and did all of my hygiene stuff for the morning and I put on this outfit 

- a solid pink crop top 

-black skinny jeans

-pink and white jordans 

-with white jewelry

I put my hair into a tight bun on the top of my head and then went downstairs into the kitchen to get me something to eat, but I ran into my dad. He looked more nervous than usual. 

"Hey Dad, You alright?" I asked

"Yeah, I am good, but after you get out of school we have to go to Olive Garden"

"Why?" I asked biting into an apple

"I have some people that I want you to meet. It is very important" he said 

"okay" i replied going outside to see my boyfriend waiting on me in his grey Mercedes Benz. I smiled as I looked at him. He flashed me that million dollar smile as we pulled off. 

"Good morning bae" he said looking at me for a moment and then back at the road

"Hey" I said and then leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"You look like you have something on your mind" he said with concern

I really didn't want him to know about what my dad had to tell me until I knew every detail. I don't know why but I just didn't want to tell him.

"Naw bae it's nothing" I said lieing through my teeth.

We pulled up to Park Heights Academy and Chris parked into his normal spot and we got out of his car. He came to my side by me and put his arm around me as we walked into school. Everyone instantly came up to us greeting us with "Hellos" and "Heys." Me and Chris were known around here because he was the basketball star and I was the Dance team captain. I mean I am in no wayy conceeded but it was nice to have a lot of school attention. Anyway I got to my locker and I saw my best friend Savannah and her boyfriend, Caleb, walking toward me and Chris. I hugged Savannah and Mean mugged Caleb. We have that type of relationship, but that's like my brother. Me and Savannah walked to our first class, History, leavign the boys behind. As we were walking to class, Savannah started conversation.

"Hey Maya, I need us to get together with both teams to do a large performance for homecoming at half-time" she said hoping that I would agree with her. 

"Girl yes! That will be the best and I think this will be both teams time to shine without us, since we both are on homecoming court." I said very excitedly

"Speaking of dhomecoming court, have youy found your dress yet?" Savannah asked. 

"Girl yes! It is too cute girl! Chris hasn't seen it yet and he is about to die. Have you found yours?" 

"Yasssss!!!! I have and Caleb won't leave me alone about it!"  she said about to die of laughter

We both laughed and walked into class and completed our boring day at school.
