Chapter Three

Percy

I lost count at 30.

That's how many girls asked me out. It was over 30.

A lot of rejection was given out by me that night at dinner.

Yeah.

And Drew asked why I rejected her but answered before I could.

"Why would you reject me?" She questioned," how dare you turn me down, Perseus Jackson!? Unless — unless you're gay."

I just looked at her.

"You're childish, Drew. Turning you turn doesn't mean I'm gay. It just means I'm not interested in your particularly. If it means anything, I'm not interested in anyone right now."

Which that was all a lie but you know.

"And plus I overheard Will could use some help finding a boyfriend that isn't Nico, you could help him out and maybe find a boyfriend doing so," I add.

She looked skeptical at first.

"You know, I might just do that." She told me," Will really does need to back off of Nico. It just will never happen. Even if Nico was gay, which he might be, you never know, it just can't happen."

Suddenly an entrance was made.

By Apollo.

"I'm back!"

Go. Away.

I don't want to deal with you anymore.

And better yet he was assigned to my table and my cabin with his not full but very dense and full of very dense people.

Yeah.

Of course it was asked. I didn't ask, but it was asked.

"Where's Meg?"

Of course that also led to other questions.

"Who's Meg?" Annabeth was first to ask.

Apollo sighed. Putting down his fork.

"She made her decision," Apollo announced," Meg McCaffrey will not be joining us at Camp."

And that started arguments.

A good handful of year round campers were quick to assume.

"You didn't even try to get her back, did you!?"

"Why would I want this!?" Apollo asked in return," I'm stuck here, too!"

"You're not even mortal!" Jason accused. Half of camp was very confused. "Why don't you just go back to Olympus and rot like you should be you self centered douchebag!"

That's where I intervened.

"Hey!" I yelled at Jason,"first off, you don't call people douchebags. That's just rude."

"You're a New Yorker! Known for being rude!"

And that was my snapping point

"Well fucking news flash not all of us are rude assholes!" I snapped at the son of Jupiter and scared most of camp," some of us try to be nice and it's people like you that make us all seem like assholes because you can't get your head out of your ass and learn to respect others. You know, its really not that hard to do when you try it."

The whole camp drew to a silence as Jason and we store back and forth at each other.

"Because when it comes down to it, Jason," I knew he wasn't going to talk," who you respect and who you don't will determine how you are treated here. I can't speak for the Romans, I know that. But I'll tell you now that over the past 6 years us here have been through a lot together and because of that we have learned, some it took longer than others, to truth and respect others here."
