"Wake up, Mikey Wikey. Nap time is over."

Mikey groaned and stretched his arms over his head and slowly opened his eyes. He smiled when he saw Pete crouched over his cot smiling down at him.

"Hi Petey," Mikey said. Pete helped Mikey up and they carried Mikey's cot to the stack in the corner of the room. They sat down at their table and waited for Mr. Toro to hand out snacks. Mikey hoped they had cookies or maybe pudding, but he would have been fine with anything really. Pete yawned next to him and Mikey yawned in return, both boys giggling at the action. Mr. Toro made his way to their table and placed down a couple napkins and set a few Oreo cookies and a carton of chocolate milk on each.

"Thank you, Mr. Toro," they replied in unison, giggling at their sync. Mr. Toro chuckled as well.

"You're welcome boys. Are you enjoying your first day, Peter?" Mr. Toro asked. Pete nodded as he pulled apart his cookie and licking the white parts from the middle. Mr. Toro nodded as well and patted Pete on his back before going around the room and handing out the rest of the snacks. Pete then dipped the cookie part in his milk carton and plopped it in his mouth as Mikey watched in fascination.

"Why are you eating your Oreo like that?" Mikey asked. Pete swallowed the cookie.

"My friend Andy showed me. He's really nice. He lives in Chicago with his Mommy and dad," Pete explained. Mikey picked up one of his own cookies and bit into it. He sipped on his milk through a bendy straw and hummed the Ninja Turtles theme to himself as he kicked his feet along.

The class finished their snacks and Mr. Toro gave them a baby wipe to clean up any spills or messes that were made. Mikey wiped his spot and handed the wipe to Pete who copied Mikey's actions. Mr. Toro called them to the rug for story time, and Mikey saved Pete a spot at the front, where they could see the pictures the best. He read them Little Red Riding Hood and showed them the pictures. The children laughed at the funny parts and 'ahhed' at the scary parts, like when the wolf tried to eat her.

After story time, the class went to play stations. They could play with blocks or read their books or colour. Mikey pulled Pete to a corner in the room with a play kitchen and fake food and a small dresser. There was a small, plastic crib with a few baby dolls in it.

"Do you want to be the mommy or the daddy?" Mikey asked. Pete shrugged his shoulders. Mikey went to the dresser and pulled out a Cinderella dress and a clip on tie and top hat.

"Which one do you want?" Mikey asked. Pete looked at his options and frowned.

"Is there any more of these?" He asked, pointing at the dress. Mikey nodded and pulled Pete to the dresser. He let Pete look around for something he liked before he pulled out a Rapunzel dress and pulled it on over his clothes. Mikey put on the Cinderella dress and kicked off his shoes and found the play heels under the small table. He slipped on the baby blue shoes to match his dress and looked in the mirror by the baby crib.

"Are we both gonna be the mommys," Mikey asked. Pete nodded and went to the play stove and put a few plastic chicken legs in the oven. Alicia walked over to the boys and stood in the center of the small area.

"Can I play with you?" She asked. Mikey looked at Pete who shrugged in return.

"Okay Alicia. You are going to be the daddy," Mikey said. She nodded and put on the top hat and clip-on tie. She found a pair of toy heels and put them on as well. Mikey went to the crib and pulled out a naked baby doll. He sat the baby on the table and found a small onesie and worked on getting it in the baby.

"Wife," Alicia said. Both boys looked at her. She pointed to Pete, who was still waiting on his chicken legs do finish cooking. "What's for supper?" She asked.
