With my short hair flickering like a flame, I walked out a couple of steps and looked down the hall towards the direction of the laugh.

"Herherherh! Nice to see you again, Doggy!"

The doctor who had tortured me for years was no longer the same doctor. His voice was deep and raspy. His brown, slick hair was blond and messy.  His giggly face was snarly, but still giggly. A golden tail sagged behind him, and his crippled old man hands were now giant, fury, blond paws. "It must be hard to hold a syringe with those beastly paws, you monster." Either he found my joke funny, which I didn't intend, or he had come up with another crazy comeback because he was laughing. Oh wait, he's always laughing. "Herherher, silly Doggy; why would I need to hold a syringe? I can crush them like I crush my prey." Oh, look!  Your "Mad Scientist" is evolving! It evolved into "Crazy Psycho Chimera"!

I raised my arm to conjure flames, but he moved out of the way really quickly, as if he knew my every move and abilit-

"Argh! Uh- Eh-Ug." he came out of no where and grabbed my throat, hanging me with his huge paws as if he were Darth Vader. Digging my puny claws into his buff arm barely did anything. I looked over to see Jupiter readying to save me. But I don't need help, I don't- "Gurgurg" A couple of seconds later I fell to the ground and hit my head on the floor. Breathe. Exhale. Breathe. Exhale. The flame was slowly shrinking and my eyes were blurring. The stone floor... was so... cold.  -------

I slammed my fist on the floor. I can't fall asleep right now. If I fall asleep I'll be out for at least half an hour. That's plenty of time to kill a sleeping child. I rubbed my head, trying to calm down my headache. I turned over, face to the floor, and pushed up into the "Getting-ready-to-do-modified-push-ups" position. I looked up to see Jupiter boxing the crazy psycho. I managed to pull myself off the ground without toppling over. My flame was growing bigger as I caught my breath but all fires turn to ash. I can only hold this for about four minutes and I've wasted a bit more than a minute being choked out and all.

Staring at the chuckling lion looking just so happy as Jupiter attacked him pisses me off. This man has tortured us into the monsters we are now. For the first few years my ears were so sensitive and it hurt to get used to the weight of my extended tail bone and fur. Jupiter has probably been through tons of pain. Just thinking about scientist trying to mirror the strength of a bear on a boy. Madness.

"This man..." The fire burning through my skin all leaked down to my hand. Focusing all the hate on one spot burnt like hell but nothing like when he... When he got my blood to boil. Now my blood boils with anger. I, actually, scratch that, we will not stand for this any longer. We will be free. We will fight! "This man... makes me... furious!"

Both of the duelist were now staring at me in fear; well, he was still smiling but not out of pure joy. I sprinted into the fight with a round house punch into "Beefy Cat's" jaw. That would kill and send a normal man flying, but it only threw him off his feet onto the floor He had burns all over the side of his face. I have never been tall, so seeing him below me made me crack a grin.

I looked down and giggled, "How's it like to be looked down upon and laughed at?"

This was the first time I felt satisfactory. It was great.

"What did you say? I am going to need you to speak up, Beefy Cat."

Sorry the story is only 665 words ( not including the author note ). I wanted to make it longer, but this month I've been really busy. At least I'll having something for you to read for a while. The end of my first quarter is coming up and I'm in a club that takes up a lot of time. I hope that I can finish this fight seen for my November post. The chapters for the next couple of months are going to be intense, but if this chapter gets five votes I'll make my November chapter +1,000 words so you don't have to wait so long for the real story to begin. I love were this story is headed and can't wait till next year. I'll try my best to post on the 27th of each month, but if I miss deadline please encourage me in the comments to hurry it up. When second semester starts please forgive me for the short chapters. I'm joining swimming and won't have a lot of time to write. Right now I'm kind of cutting it close with the deadline, so if any of my sentences are too wordy please mention that you are confused or it makes no sense. Sorry for the random blob of stuff for an author's note, I'm trying to hurry this so I can finish Maximum Ride: Schools out Forever by James Patterson (Great book. Not sponsored. Read The Angel Experiment first.) before I have to return it.

Bye now!
