Chapter 2: I Found You

Baekhyun's POV:

"Yah! Jung kook! How did you get that perfectly?!" I said to him. He laughed.

"It's because I hold the bow differently than you."

"How?" I asked. I pulled my bow string with an arrow and aimed it at my target.

"So, put your hand here like this. Then hold the arrow like this," he said while looking at my hands, "Now aim and shoot."

"This isn't going to work," I said coldly while fixing my aim. I shot and it hit the target just a little bit off center.

"And.... You were saying?" he said pretending to be brush off some fake dust on him.

"I'm done for today. I'm going back to my room," I said walking towards my room. Once I got into my room I began studying. Then Jung kook came into my room. I took a breath in and released it.

"Are you okay?"

"This... It's just so boring," I said laying down on my back. Then I heard the door open. Quickly I stood up and saw two girls and the head maid enter my room.

"These two girls will be your maids," the head maid said bowing down then leaving. One of the girl's body shape looks familiar. I walk over to them to get a closer look to see if I'm right.

"You two may raise your heads," I said while looking at them. They raised their heads and I recognized one of them.

Y-you?! I've got you trapped now, I thought to myself.

"Y-you are the p-" she said but I cut her off.

"Yes, I told you I would be able to find you. Miss. Kim. Tae. Yeon," I said while getting quieter and closer to her ear. I stood back straight and looked at her face. Her eyes were wide open.

She looks cute when she is shocked like that. Yah! Baekhyun focus you don't even like her, I thought again.

"Should we leave the room while you two talk?" Jungkook said motioning to him and the other girl.

"I don't mind. I'll let Taeyeon choose, if she wants you to hear about what she did. If she does want you to then you can stay," I said looking at Taeyeon then at Jungkook.

"Can you please leave us?" she said quietly still looking at me. Her eyes have relaxed now.

"Yeah, I think we should go..," Jungkook said while leading the other girl out.

"My sister didn't take it, she would've never do something like that," she said with her tone changing from quiet to serious.

"That's not what I'm concerned about right now. I think you owe me something for what you did that day."

*Flashback*

"She said she didn't take it! Why are you still yelling at her about it?!" a girl yelled at me.

"I know it was her! It was either her or her friends," I replied coldly. She slapped me. I could feel my anger boiling up in me.

"You said it was her, but you said it could've been her friends! Or you know what?! It could've been you being clumsy and dropping it somewhere!" she said as she when to the girl's side.

"Unni," the little girl said still trying to hold back her tears.

"Come on," she said in a gentle tone. She nodded and they started to leave.

"What's your name?!" I yelled to to her.

"Why would I tell you?" she questioned me while turning back to face me.

"Fine, you'll find out the hard way," I said quietly but loud enough for her to hear. She turned and left with her sister. Then Jungkook came over to me.

"Who did this to you?"

"It's nothing. The person who did this is going to find out the hard way. Let's go," I said walking back to the palace.

*Flashback end*

"I mean you deserved it for doing that," she said strong in her answering.

Hm~ You are confident.. I thought.

"Well, this could be punishable by death for touching a prince and disrespecting," I said walking around her in circles.

"I-" her voice cracked.

"There is always another way," I said quietly into her ear while running my fingers down her back. She tensed up. "But, then I wouldn't do that," I said walking back to where my books were. She dropped down to her knees and lowered her head.

"Please, my father is ill and my mom can't raise my sister without my help," she said quietly.

"Raise your head," I said still watching her. She does it and I see eyes with mixed emotions. "I won't report your actions, but remember you and I are the only ones who know about this. Now hurry, I want some tea." She got up and bowed.

"I will get it, thank you," she said as she left.

I will keep this promise for sure, I thought to myself again.

Jungkook's POV:

I waited for them to finish talking, and I suggested leaving because the feeling in the room changed drastically. As I waited for their conversation to end, I talked to the other girl. She seemed nice, her name was Mi-Young. Then the door opened and the other girl walked out.

"I have to go and help Taeyeon," she said before leaving and staying next to Taeyeon.

I didn't get a chance to find out what kind of person Taeyeon was. I hope nothing bad happened between them. I walked into the room and saw Baekhyun sitting down reading a book.

Maybe nothing happened? I thought to myself.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm just reading a story," he replied still looking at the book.

Did Taeyeon change him? I will have to talk to her sometime, I thought still looking at him. Then the door opened and Taeyeon came in with Mi-Young.

"Can your pour the tea for me please?" Baekhyun said still looking at his book. Taeyeon nodded and picked up the tea pot and poured some into a cup.

"Here."

"Thank you," he said looking up at her. Then as Baekhyun took a sip and put it back down I saw Taeyeon's hand touch the hot pot. She then held her hand as she took a breath in. Baekhyun then took Taeyeon's hand and looked at it.

"Baekhyun, wh-" she said, but then stopped since Baekhyun started to speak.

"Yah! Ji Sook be more careful next time!" Baekhyun said looking at her hand turning it to look all over it.

"Ji Sook?" she asked. Then for some weird reason Baekhyun looked at her and dropped her hand.

"Sorry," he said in a low, quiet tone, "my mind was elsewhere."

"Oh."

"What's your name?" he asked Mi-Young.

"M-me?"

"No, I'm talking to the air."

"I'm sorry. I'm Mi-Young."

"Mi-Young, please take Taeyeon to take care of her hand."

"Yes, we will be going now then," Mi-Young said while Taeyeon followed her out of the room.
