Chapter 3: That Didn't Just Happen... Did It?

Taeyeon's POV:

I walked out with Mi-Young.

"Taeyeon, why are you so clumsy?" Mi-Young said to me.

"I'm fine. It's nothing to make a big fuss about," I said keeping up with Mi-Young. She stopped and took my hand.

"Is this nothing?" she said looking at it, "We better hurry, it looks really pink now."

When we got to a cold water area she put my hand in the water.

"Yah! That hurts!" I yelled taking my hand out.

"I told you, keep your voice down, we don't want to get caught for being loud," Mi-Young said submerging my hand, fully, in the water this time. After a few minutes I took my hand out and looked at it. It wasn't as pink as it was before. We walked back to the prince the head maid stopped us.

"Here, go and wash these," she said handing the both of us clothes.

"Yes, we will," we both said bowing and walking towards the clothes washing area. I sat down with some of the clothes and started washing them.

Seolhyun's POV:

"Seolhyun, get ready, we are going to go meet the king of another kingdom for the new year festival."

"Yes, I will go and get ready," I said walking to my room.

I heard they had a really nice looking prince at the other kingdom. I hope I get to meet him, I thought to myself. When my maids finished packing my clothes, I left to walk on a trail. Slowly night was coming. Once I got back to my room I opened my window to look at the moon.

"The Queen is here," one of my maids said to me. The doors opened and in came my mother.

"Are you okay?" she asked me.

"Yes, do you know the prince of the kingdom we are visiting?"

"All I know is his name is Baekhyun," she responded, "I know you are still thinking about your past."

"I can't forget him mom, but he is gone in the sky exploring the stars," I said looking back to the moon. My mom came over to me and hugged me.

"I know, but prince Baekhyun might fix your heart."

"I hope so, but his words keep repeating in my head."

"What were the words?"

"If you ever miss me, look up to the stars. When I go to sleep I'll be there helping you along your journey."

"Come on, we are going to leave tomorrow and it's a long way, so you should get some rest," my mom said pulling away from the hug. I nodded and she left.

We're looking at the same moon right? I hope you can fit in my heart Baekhyun, I thought to myself..

Taeyeon's POV:

Night came as soon as I put the last piece of clothing on the line.

"We've finished," Mi-Young said standing up stretching her legs. We walked back to our quarters, and along the way I saw Baekhyun. It was raining, but he was out in the rain practicing with a sword.

"How long do you think he has been out here?" I asked Mi-Young.

"I don't know, do you like him?"

"No! He only talked to me giving me chills," I said looking at her in disbelief.

"Aw~ admit it you like him," she said walking away from me. I continued to watch Baekhyun practice. A few moments went by and I decided to walk over to him.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I should've protected you Ji Sook," he said practicing sword moves. I tapped his shoulder gently.

"You've been out here for a while. You should go into your room," I said looking into his eyes. His eyes seemed to be filled with sadness, and only a bit little anger.

"Ji Sook? You're alive? Thank goodness," he said looking at me.

"Baekhyun, let's go back to your room, you don't look good," I was being honest he seemed to be a little pale. He smiled then collapsed to the floor. I tried to help him up, but he was out of it. I ran to Baekhyun's room and found Jungkook.

"Hm? Taeyeon is everything okay?" he asked looking up at me.

"Baekhyun collapsed!" I said before running out of the room back to where Baekhyun was. Jungkook picked him up putting one arm around his shoulders. I helped him by putting the other of Baekhyun's arm around my shoulders. We walked back to Baekhyun's room awkwardly, because I was way shorter than Jungkook. We placed him down on his bed. He was buring up with a fever.

"Um.. I'll go get the royal doctor," Jungkook said about to leave.

"Wait! Just go get me some cold water and a cloth, I know how to take care of this," I said fixing Baekhyun on his bed.

"Okay," he said running out of the room. I felt his head and it was warm.

"Who is this Ji Sook that you keep calling me?" I said quietly to myself. Then a few seconds later Jungkook came back in carrying the things I asked him to. I submerged the cloth in the water and folded it to put on Baekhyun's head.

"I have to go meet my mentor now, so if anything happens with Baekhyun call the royal doctor," Jungkook said before leaving. After a few hours, I took the cloth off his head and replaced it after putting it in the water again.

"Ji Sook ah~" Baekhyun mumbled and opened his eyes a little bit.

"Baekhyun? Are you awake?" I asked looking at his eyes. He put his arms around my neck and pulled me down towards him.

"What a-" I was interrupted by my lips against his. I could feel my heart start racing. He let go and fell asleep again. I could feel my face becoming hot. I sat up right looking back at Baekhyun.

That didn't happen. That didn't happen. There is no way that happened, I thought in my head while shaking my head in disbelief. I changed his cloth one more time and set my head on my knees.

Don't fall asleep. You need to watch him.. I kept thinking, but my eyes grew heavier and my mind went blank.

Baekhyun's POV:

I woke up to something on my head. When I felt it, it was a cloth. Then I realized Taeyeon was right next to me with her head on her knees that she was hugging to her chest. I sat up and tapped her shoulder. She jolted awake right away.

"Oh? Are you feeling better?" she asked me.

"Why are you in my room?" I asked looking at her eyes.

"You collapsed yesterday in the rain while practicing with your sword."

"Is that all?"

"Yes."

"You may leave," I said looking at her. She nodded and made her way to my door. When she opened the door and closed it, I heard a cough come from outside the door.
