Chapter 13: More Time Together

Baekhyun's POV:
I went back to my room after I sent Taeyeon back.

She just had a cold. Her coughing doesn't make since, I thought to myself laying down in bed. Soon I drifted off to sleep.

"You are so funny!" I heard Taeyeon say. When I saw her, she was smiling and talking with another man. I tried to get closer to see the man's face, but it still remained too hard to see.

"Taeyeon who is he?" the man asked turning towards me.

"Him? I don't know. Maybe just a person passing by," she said looking at me and turned the other way.

"Taeyeon!" I said running to her and grabbing her wrist, but she pulled it away.

"I don't know you! Who are you?" she asked backing away with scared eyes. The boy next to her grabbed my shirt.

"Don't ever touch her again," he said before punching me.

"Wait!" I yelled jolting awake from my sleep. I touched my forehead and wiped the sweat from it.

It was a nightmare, I thought slowly breathing. I got up from my bed and went to my wash house. When the warm water hit my skin, I closed my eyes. A few moments later  I heard a knock.

Shoot. Uh...., I thought panicking.

"Baekhyun?" I heard Taeyeon on the other side say, "Are you here?" I looked around the room for hiding places but there weren't any.

Creak~

Quickly I went under water holding my breath. I heard footsteps going around the room. Opening my eyes, I looked up and saw Taeyeon looking at the water like there was something different.

Oh god... I need to breathe soon..., I thought still watching the confused Taeyeon. When she was out of my view, I jumped out of the water and laid on my back breathing hard.

Aaaaahhhhh!~

Looking towards the scream, I saw Taeyeon covering her eyes.

"Please put on a shirt," she said turning around.

"Did you have to ask me something?" I asked quickly doing as she asked.

Thankfully I only took off my shirt.

"Uh.. Yeah... Don't worry about that one case about the rumors... I took care of who did that..," she said still facing away from me. Smiling I walked over to her and grabbed her wrist.

"Come on, lets go on a date," I said looking into her eyes. They seemed to brighten up right away. We carefully snuck out of the palace and headed towards the village.

"Step right up! Try to shoot the apple!" a man said waving around a bow.

"Should we try that?" I asked Taeyeon who was looking at it. She nodded her head happily.

"Would you like to try the game?" the man said walking up to us.

"Sure."

"You have such a beautiful young lady also. If you can shoot the apple, I'll give you two rings." Carefully I pulled the string back and aimed.

"I put my hands here and here. Then I shoot," Jungkook's voice said in my head. Before I released the arrow I fixed my hands on the bow.

Inhale. Exhale. Release.

I let go of the sting and the arrow went flying towards the apple.

"You made it Baekhyun!" she yelled excitedly while tugging on my arm. The man gave us two rings and we looked at each one. Taeyeon's ring had a heart on a thin rim while mine was thicker than her with black patterns engraved on it.

"What do you think?" I asked her.

"I love it!" she said with a smile that could replace the sun in the sky. We decided to walk to her house and saw Yerin just playing with her dolls.

"Oh! Hi!!" she said as soon as she noticed us. Taeyeon ran over to Yerin, but fell just a little before her. She started coughing again.

"Are you okay?" I asked running over to her. She nodded her head and smiled at Yerin. 

"Just a bit clumsy. Yerin, where is Omma and Appa?" Taeyeon asked.

"Omma told me that she was going to take Appa for a check up," she said turning her attention to me. Taeyeon then realized Yerin was focusing on me. I laughed and remembered what I told her last time.

"I'm sorry I couldn't bring candy this time, but I brought you a toy," I said taking it out of my pocket. It was a drum on a stick so when you spun it, the strings on the side of the drum would make sound. Her eyes lit up when I put it in her hands.

"Yerin, what do you say?" Taeyeon asked standing up.

"Thank you," she said smiling playing with her toy.

"What should we do now?" I asked Taeyeon. Just then the door opened and in came Jungkook.

"Hey Baekhyun, your father told me to find you and go to the palace..," he said before walking out again.

"I'll come also. I need to finish up some work there also," Taeyeon said smiling. I nodded and we all, except Yerin, walked to the palace.  Inside we parted ways and once I got to my father's room Seolhyun came out.

"Oppa, your dad wanted me to tell you something. Follow me," she said walking away from his room.

I hope this isn't about marriage.
