Epilogue
*2 months later*
"Hades." Poke.
No movement.
"Hades." Poke.
There's a slight sound that almost sounds like a frustrated sigh, but still he doesn't respond.
"Babe. Wake up." Poke.
He groans, finally giving in and blearily opening his eyes. "Do you always have to wake me up this way?"
"Yes. It's fun, and I haven't been able to wake you up like this for a very long time." I beam cheekily at him. "Now, let me go."
He does the complete opposite, his arms around my waist tightening. I'm not going to lie, I've missed this, even though he's being painfully annoying. "Why?"
"Why?" I tap my chin in pretense thought. "Well, because it's the morning of our re-wedding, and going off what happened last time, Calla and Kezia are due to turn up and drag me away any second now, and we're kind of naked. So unless you want them to walk in, discover us and then spread around the palace that we-"
"Alright, I get your point." He grumbles, reluctantly relinquishing his hold on me. I laugh and roll out of bed, grabbing his shirt off the floor and slipping it on. I flick my hair - which is a complete mess - over the top of the shirt and open my mouth as I turn around, but the sentence I was about to say dies in my throat when I catch the intense look Hades is giving me. My cheeks heat up.
"Stop that!"
He sits up and leans against the headboard, looking up at me innocently. I gulp and try to ignore how ridiculously hot he looks, with a contrite expression on his handsome face and his dark brown hair deliciously ruffled. "Stop what?"
"Giving me that look!" I splutter.
His eyes twinkle mischievously. "I cannot help it when you are standing there in my shirt looking utterly breathtaking, agápi mou."
"Flattery isn't going to get you anywhere, buster." I narrow my eyes at him, and he raises an eyebrow challengingly. "It won't!"
"I beg to differ."
"No Hades! We don't have time!"
"We always have time." He smirks.
I blush profusely and stiffly turn around, heading for the bathroom.
"Where are you going?" He calls after me, his tone laced with amusement.
"I'm having a shower."
"Without me?"
"Yes, without you." I narrow my eyes at him even more when I realise just how much he's enjoying teasing me. "We're not supposed to see each other before our wedding, and besides, you need to be punished."
He bursts out laughing. "What for?"
"Being a prat." I point my finger at him threateningly. "You better not follow me Hades, because if you do I'll scream for Kezia, and she will come running, no matter how naked you are."
His only response is to laugh even harder. I huff and stalk from the room, slamming the bathroom door behind me.
Even though I'd like to say I took my time in the shower just to prove my point to Hades, in reality it was quite possibly the quickest shower I have ever taken in the history of showers. I'm not entirely sure what my motivation was for getting out so quick; it was either because I was scared Hades would actually try to challenge my threat - and I knew that once he joined me, we would not be leaving for quite some time - or because I was just eager to get back to him.
