Chapter 21

Michelle busted her ass cleaning and making dinner, excited to see her boys. Seth would offer his help which as usual she decline. So he just learned to stay out of the way. Seth sat in the living room, reading when he saw headlights coming through the window. He called out, “Michelle! I think they’re here!”

She quickly rushed in the living room and out the door. She missed her boys so much, she couldn’t wait to see them and hug them. Seth smiled at her excitement. He followed her outside and the first kid to run towards her from the car was Kyle. He screamed, “Mommy!”

She knelt on the ground as he ran to her. He jumped into her arms and wrapped his little arms around her. She held him tight and stood up as she hugged him tightly. She said to the small child, “Mommy missed you, baby boy.”

He looked at her and said back, “I missed you too, mommy.”

She smiled. Seth stood back to not to interfere but smiled as he watched her reunite with her kids. She rained kisses on the small boy as he giggled. Then she saw her oldest walk up to her, Starla was right behind him. Nate stopped a couple feet in front of his mother and looked unsure how to approach his mother. She looked at him and asked, “You still mad at me?”

He gave her a half smile and shook his head. She reached an arm out as the other held her youngest in her arms. She said with a smile, “Come give your mama a hug.”

He then quickly wrapped his arms around her waist and she put her arm on his back. She squeezed him slightly and gave him a small kiss on the top of his head. She then said to him, “I missed you, sweetheart.”

“I missed you too, mom.” He let go of her and Starla quickly gave Michelle a hug.
Michelle asked, “How was the ride? Not too bad I hope.”

Starla shrugged and said, “Tiresome.” Then she saw Seth standing back, just outside the front door. She asked, “Is he being shy?”

Michelle looked over at Seth, who looked back at her, and said with a small chuckle, “I think he is just waiting on me.” Then she yelled over to him, “Come say hi!”

He smiled and waited for her to call him over. He didn’t want to be in the way of her reunion with her children. He figured he wait until she was ready for him. He was a little nervous about meeting her children. He knew that the number one priority for any mother, good mothers, was their kids. So meeting her kids made him nervous, he felt he had to make a better impression on them then even her own father. He knew Kyle wouldn’t be a problem but Nate, that would be a different story. He walked over as the women smiled at him and Kyle in Michelle’s arms, seeming to become shy and Nate standing behind her, not looking too happy. Starla then reached her hand out to Seth and said, “It’s nice to meet you in person.”

“No, the pleasure is mine.” Seth took her hand and shook it.

When the let go, Starla looked at Michelle and said, “He is even more handsome in person.”

Seth slightly chuckled as he blushed. Michelle looked at him and said sarcastically, “Ahh, he is alright.”

“Thanks.” He said with a smile.

Michelle smiled back, then averted he attention to Kyle and said to Seth, “You might remember, Kyle.” Then she said to the young boy, “Hey, say hi to Mr. Seth.”

Seth said to the young boy, “Hello, Kyle. Glad I get to met you in person.”

The young boy smiled but the hugged his mother tightly as he buried his face in her neck, shyly. Michelle then said, “Give him a half an hour. After that, he will talk your ear off.”
