Chapter 23

Seth walked back on the living room and Michelle was sitting on the couch with Kyle, reading to him. Seth walked over and sat next to her. She stopped reading and looked over at him. She asked, “So?”

He put his arm around her shoulder and said, “So, I think it went really well.”

She rested her head on his shoulder. “I told you.” Then she asked, “So, does that mean you will be staying here tonight?”

He smiled and said, sarcastically, “If you insist.”

She just smiled and gave him a small kiss. They heard Kyle yell out, “Hey!”

They both looked at him and he said with his eyebrows frowning, “She is MY mommy.”

Michelle laughed and Seth stared at the little boy, playfully. Then he moved his hands on one side of her face and gave her a big kiss on her cheek. Michelle laughter became louder and Kyle crawled up his mom. He pushed Seth hands that were on Michelle off and said, with a smile, “Only I kiss mommy.”

Then he kissed her on her other cheek. Seth laughed and said as he calmed, “How about we share mommy?”

Kyle look to think for a moment. “Okay, but no kissing mommy.”

“Well, I do not think that is fair. If you get to kiss her so do I.”

All Michelle could do is smile at their back and forth. “No, I get to kiss mommy and you don’t.”

“Well, I just will not accept that.” Seth retorted back playfully.

Then he grabbed Michelle’s face and gave her another big kiss on her cheek. Kyle climbed up him as he yelled, “Hey!”

Again he pushed Seth away from Michelle and kissed her other cheek. Seth quickly grabbed the young boy and pulled him on his lap and proceeded to tickle him. Kyle laughed and screamed out. Kyle yelled out in laughter, “Mommy, save me!”

Michelle threw her hands and said, plainly, “I am not in this.”

Then she stood up off the couch and said, playfully, “How about no one gets to kiss me.”

Seth stopped tickling Kyle and said to him, “Let’s go get mommy.”

Seth put the boy down so he was standing up. Before Seth got himself up, Michelle ran off to her room. Seth proceed to run after her as Kyle followed him. They got to the room and Seth tackled her on the bed. He pinned her down as Kyle climbed on the bed. Seth said to him, “I hold mommy down and you tickle her.”

The boy giggled as Michelle yelled, laughing, “No! Don’t you dare little boy!”

Then he tickled her and Michelle kicked her feet as she tried to get out from under Seth. But he was just too strong. Then Seth manage to hold both of her hands with one of his and used his other to tickle her as well. Michelle laughed and scream. She begged in the laughter, “Please, stop!”

Seth stopped and told Kyle, “I think mommy had enough.”

Kyle nodded as he stopped. Seth moved off of her as she sat up and adjusted her hair and clothes. “Not fair that you all ganged up on me.”

Seth then smiled as he said, “Next time do not threaten to take out kisses away.”

“Yeah!” Kyle chimed in.

They got back up and started to head out to the living room. Michelle looked at Seth as they walked and smiled, loving how involved Seth was getting off the bat with her boys. They got to the couch and sat down. Seth sat next to Michelle and Kyle climbed up the couch, onto Seth’s lap. Michelle continued to look at Seth in awe. She felt so lucky to have him. She knew dating with kids would be hard. But Seth made it easier as she saw him take to her kids and tried, no matter how hard it was. Seth noticed Michelle staring. He asked, “What?
