When Stiles woke the previous night felt like nothing more than a dream. It was only when he saw the polaroids on his bedside table that it sunk in that last night happened.
His mum knocked on his door and poked her head into his room.
"Hey sweetie, just checking you were up." She whispered. She walked in and placed a cup of coffee on the bedside table, trying to take a subtle glance at the polaroids.
"Don't want to be late on school photo day now do we?" She said, leaving his room.
Shit. Stiles thought.
He jumped out of bed and got straight in the shower. He hated photo days, but he at least wanted to make an effort so he didn't look crap.
After he had shampooed his hair, he washed his face and got out the shower. On his side was a moisturiser and a brightening eye cream, he chucked both on his face and dried his hair. He grabbed some gel from his cupboard and put a tiny bit on his fingers and ran through his hair- so it was still soft and fluffy but had a bit more shape to it than usual.
With a towel wrapped around his waist he approached his wardrobe and picked out a plain t-shirt and one of his nicer plaid shirts. He grabbed a pair of jeans and sprayed some cologne and made his way downstairs, picking his bag up on the way.
"Someones made an effort for once." His mum joked as Stiles put his shoes on.
He scoffed .
"I wonder who for." Ally smirked.
"Shut up you" Stiles said rolling his eyes at her.
His mum raised her eyebrows questioningly, but Stiles ignored it.
"See ya later munchkin." Stiles said to Ally, kissing her on the forehead.
"Bye mum." He called out as he walked out the front door.
His mum looked at Ally as if to ask what her and Stiles were going on about, but all she gave her was a finger in the middle of her lips, and she ran off giggling.
Stiles walked into school and gave a smile at Isaac and Malia, who were looking at him from across the car park. He saw Lydia next to the gates, looking stunning as usual. As he approached her she looked up and turned her head to the side, checking out Stiles.
"You clean up nice." She said , smoothing down his shirt and laughing.
"So do you, with the shoes, and the hair." Stiles responded -stuttering awkwardly on the sentence, gesturing to her hair and shoes and clearly trying to flirt.
They walked towards the school and through the crowds that were swarming the halls.
They arrived at their lockers, Lydia started to open hers but paused, turning to look at Stiles.
"Hey Stiles"
He looked up and pushed his locker door inwards, so he could see her better.
"Yeah, Lyds, everything okay?"
"yeah uhm, Erica invited me to this party on friday and she said I could bring a plus one and I was wondering if you wanted to come? Its okay if not I wasn't sure wether it was your thing or not" Lydia rambled.
"I would love to" Stiles replied, stopping her in her tracks. Lydia smiled
"I'll pick you up at 7" She stated, got what she needed out of her locker and carried on down the hallway.
