Erin's POV
I miss Dylan so much, I practically run out of the school to my car and drive to the hospital. I go up to his room and he was sitting there reading something on his phone, I sit next to him. "Hey." I smile at him, he gives me a very small tight smile back. "Hi..." He doesn't smile much anymore, it's been about a week since he's been here and he hasn't smiled since. If he did, it was very small and tight. I mean, he's dying, he wouldn't exactly be the happiest person in the world.
I continue to sit with him, he seems like he's in a lot of pain and he's been quite confused lately. He's not the Dylan I remember. He's skinnier, weaker and he can barely breath on his own. Things get worse before they get better, right? I hope it's like that in this situation. I love him and I just cannot lose him. I look at him and see he's asleep, he does that a lot, he's always super tired. He can't help it though.
I stayed him until I was told to leave, he still wasn't awake but he always sleeps for hours at a time and I see his heart rate is normal, so I kiss his lips for a brief moment and pull away, he opens his eyes, "Hey... I love you." I smile. "I love you too. I'll see you tomorrow after school." He nods weakly and I go and drive home. I lie on his bed, I grab his pillow and cuddle with it. I close my eyes and fall asleep.
The next morning I wake up and get ready for school, I drive straight there. Once I get there I text Dylan, 'Good morning Dyl. I'll see you after school. I love you <3' I put my phone back in my pocket and go to class.
For some reason school is moving by so slowly, it's third block and Dylan still hasn't texted me back. That's weird but he probably has tests being done on him, there's a lot of tests they have to do. While the teacher was teaching my phone rings, she stops and looks at me. The caller ID is from the hospital. I run up to the front and show her, she allows me to step out. I answer the phone, "Hello"
"Hi, is this Erin Williams?" The lady asks. "Yes, this is Erin.. What's going on? Is everything okay?" I ask, why would the hospital call me now? Out of all times...
"Well... I'm sorry to tell you this but... Dylan, he passed away this afternoon..."
Okay... So... Don't hate me everyone and don't kill me ShadyKaty. This was my plan all along... There is still however one or two more chapter plus and epilogue. Those will most likely be posted tonight.
