Untitled Part 7

When we were done Atticus and I headed down for breakfast. Scrambled eggs were on the back of the stove still warm. I served up a plate for me and one for Atticus then sat down with the rest of the team in the lounge.

I sat down next to peter and Atticus next to me. I shoved a spoonful of eggs into my mouth." Mmmmmmm" I smiled. I looked around to notice the unfamiliar faces.

" so I don't know everyone. I'm percy, it's nice to meet y'all."I Looked around. The girl smiled. And nudged the blond boy who sat next to her." I'm Wanda and this is my brother Pietro maximov."

I nodded." Do y'all have any powers?"

" telepathy. And he's fast."

I nodded then translated for Atticus. He smiled.

I looked at the black man next to Steve who glared at James. He turned and grinned at me." The names Sam."

" so do you have super powers or..." I said and me being the awkward person grinned sheepishly.

" my super power is awesomeness."

I grinned." I'm pretty sure that's Natasha's." I looked at Atticus and translated again. He nodded.

" so percy," Steve said changing the subject." What have you been doing for the past year?"

" well you see, fury thought it was a good idea to send me on a solo mission with only three months of training. I almost made it eight month only talking to Tripp every once and a while. And I had Atticus as well so I was doing pretty good." I ruffled his hair. He smiled and fixed his hair.

I remembered something for the file I read almost a week ago." Andromeda blowfis." I muttered. Could it be a sister." I have to go. I'll be back soon though. I've got to see my mom and annabeth. I'll catch up with y'all later."

I explained to Atticus what was going on and he and I walked to the stair case and made our way down the stairs to the bottom floor.

When we made it to the bottom he walked out into the street and towards my mom's apartment.

I walked at a steady pace till we were in front of the apartment complex.

Atticus and I took the stairs up to the fourth floor where we walked to the last door on the left. I knocked and waited.

My mom answered. Her mouthwash wide open and tears filled her eyes. She threw herself at me hugging me hard. I hugged her back." Hey mom."

" your home."

I we separated and she backed away to check me as she always did." Percy Jackson what have you done with your hair?"

" you should've seen the beard."

I muttered. I smiled at Atticus." Hey can we come in."

My mother finally noticed Atticus." And who is this cutie?"

Atticus frowned and raised an eyebrow at me." This is my mom. She's gonna love you and maybe I can get her to adopt you ."

I turned to my mom as we stepped into the living room." He doesn't speak English; only Greek."

I heard a cry coming from a room in the apartment. A baby was crying. I tuned to my mother a wide smile." Can I?"

She nods.

I ran back to the room at the end of the hall, practically yank the door open. A crib sat on the far side of the room and a baby was inside crying hard.

I walked over and liked her up. She looked at me for a minute then grabbed my hair and pulled. She giggled softly.

I walked back to the living room to find that thy were in the kitchen. Atticus was standing in front of the counter a cookie in his hand, half eaten.

I smiled at this. Once I taught him English he'll fit right in." So this is andromeda?"

" yes. She's seven months old." She said smiling." How did you know?"

" I read a file." I frowned. I can't tell her about my powers.

I heard a door open and shut. Footsteps came closer. Paul walked in." Sally, who are th... percy!. Where have you been? Your mother said you only said a few months not a whole year."

" I'm sorry, I was sent on a mission and I couldn't tell anyone." I replied.

" well at least you're back." He smiled and hugged me, careful not to crush andromeda.

He stepped back." You need a haircut."

" I don't know, I kinda like it like this." I smiled." I then turned to Atticus." This is my step-father Paul blofis."

" blow fish." Atticus smiled. An English word. He pointed at Paul." Blow fish." He laughed.

My mom and I tried to hide our smiles but failed to do so. Paul just pouted for a moment then laughed as well.

I thought about Annabeth again. I need to see her." Hey mom can i leave Atticus here while I go talk to Annabeth?"

" are you sure that such a good idea Percy? I mean he doesn't even speak English and I don't speak Greek.

" oh yeah, I keep forgetting about that. I'm gonna take him with me then." I gave andromeda back to my mom and placed my hand on Atticus's shoulder." Come on we're going to see annabeth and some of my friends."

He smiled." Blow fish."

I smiled back." I'll see if I can show you a blowfish."

We left my mom's apartment ,after swearing to comeback soon, and we took the stairs down to the lobby where I used a payphone to call the big house.

" hello, this is Delphi strawberries, how may I help you." A girl said.

" get me your director." I said.

" right away." She responded.

I waited a few minutes before someone picked up the phone again." Hello, this is the director." I heard Chiron say. I smiled it was good to hear his voice again.

" hello, I want to know if Annabeth Chase is there."

" yes she is, but what I want to know is who are you?"

" percy Jackson." I hung up, smiling to myself. I beckoned for Atticus to follow and we headed for camp half blood.

Line break

We walked to the border and I stepped across then granted Atticus crossing." We need to be quiet." I whispered to him in Greek." We are going to surprise Annabeth."

He nodded. I occasionally looked over my shoulder to make sure he was still following me. I headed for the Athena cabin but found no one there so I turned around and walked to the lake. Annabeth was siting at the dock staring at the water twirling a ring on her finger. I smiled at the memory of our engagement.

I came closer. I crouched behind a bush. She hiccuped and the ring slipped off her finger and plopped into the water.
