She finds out

I came closer. I crouched behind a bush. She hiccuped and the ring slipped off her finger and plopped into the water. She stared for a moment then looked around frantically.

When the tears started falling I knew it was time to step in." I got up from my crouched position, and walked up behind her. I grabbed her waist. She turned around and kicked me into gut.

I folded over and hit the ground trying to recover. This did not go as I had planned. Atticus ran up beside me. His face as worried but in his eyes I saw laughter. I frowned.

I looked back up at annabeth. Her hands were over her mouth." Percy?" She breathed. She looked at her finger as I stood up." I lost the ring."

" it's okay, I can get it." I knew my powers were still gone but how long could it take? What could happen?

I kissed her then jumped into the lake to retrieve the ring. It was dark. Too dark. Why couldn't I see? Because you powers are gone.

Riiiiiight.

I pulled out riptide and took the cap off my pen. It glowed but it started dragging me to the bottom. Okay that's not good.

I looked around. I wish I had hazel. She was like a living metal detector. I sighed inwardly as my Lungs started to burn. I need to find the ring with in the next minute or I wont need it anymore.

I saw something shine. It was the ring. I smiled at swam over to it. I picked it up and dropped riptide. It fell to the lake floor and I floated to the top.

My head burst out of the water my lungs gasping for breath. I swam back to the dock and pulled myself up. I smiled at Annabeth. I knelt on the ground again and slipped it back on her finger.

I stood up and kissed her. Atticus groaned and covered his eyes. I grinned at him, winked then kissed Annabeth again.

" why are you still wet?" She asked looking at me." And who's the kid?"

" well, i..." I really didn't want to tell Annabeth. Especially after not telling her about my nightmares after Tartarus." Uummmm." I looked around." This is Atticus, he's Greek and he doesn't speak English." I smiled at her.

She glared." Don't make me stick piper on you."

" but I answered your question." I tried.

" not the one I wanted you to." She turned around." PIPER!!"

I groaned. I can't do this. I can't do this. Atticus stared at me confused." She's mad at me." I said in modern Greek.

" why?" He replied.

" well you see in really not supposed to be able to drown and now i can so she's mad 'cause I won't tell her." I sighed. I'm an idiot. Why can't I just tell her.

" percy?" She stared horrified.

" Di immortales." I forgot she knew Ancient Greek which wasn't too different from modern.

" why can you drown?" She stepped closer." What did S.H.I.E.L.D. do to you?"

" it wasn't S.H.I.E.L.D." I ran my hands through my hair. I don't really want to talk about it but I also need to tell her." So Fury sent me on an undercover mission and I was there till yesterday when someone rescued me from them. Six days previous they caught me and their leader knew I was a demigod and somehow made a drug that blocked it and so far it hasn't worn off."

I looked at the ground. I'm such an idiot for getting caught. How could I do this to myself? To Annabeth? I'm just making it harder for her.

" did they dunk you in water?" She asked carefully as if anything she said wrong would set a bomb off. But then again she didn't know what Tartarus had caused me till I left so how would she know about this new thing?" Yes."

I looked into her eyes. They were filled with horror and tears. No. Oh no. Not tears. Not Annabeth tears. No crying. No crying please.

I pulled her into a hug. Her arms fit snuggly in between me and her. I wrapped my arms around her." Ssssssshhhhhh. I'll be fine." But honestly I don't know if I will be if I don't get to use my powers again. I scolded myself. Of course I'll be fine. I have to be fine. For me, for my team, for camp, for my mom , and mostly for my Annabeth.

I kissed her forehead and grabbed her hand." Don't you worry about me, wise girl, I know how to take care of myself."

" I know, seaweed brain, and that's what I'm worried about." She smiled softly.

Annabeth looked around." So who's the kid?"

" his name is Atticus, I saved him while I was in Greece. He can't speak English but he could probably understand Ancient Greek. Right now I'm planning on teaching him English. He already knows one word." I turned to Atticus.

He looked at me, eyebrows crinkled." Blow fish."

Annabeth smiled at the Greek boy."I'm Annabeth."

He tried to say it in English." A-Anna" he smiled.

I smiled back at him." Close enough."

I looked back at Annabeth." I've got to go back to the tower, but I'll visit all the time, because we've got a wedding to plan." I smiled I couldn't wait till we got married.

" don't worry, seaweed brain, I've got it almost completely planned but now all we have to do is set a date and make it happen." She smiled sweetly.

" you know I love you, right?" I pecked her on the lips. I could hear Atticus making a groaning noise, which reminded me of another thing." Hey Annabeth, could I leave Atticus here at camp with you?"

" I don't see why not but you'll have to ask Chiron and see if he can stay at the big house." She frowned a little bit." What date?"

" huh?"

" what date should our wedding be?"

" I don't know, just sometime soon." I shrugged." How is the first week of November?"

" the 1st, a Saturday ." She concluded." That gives us exactly two weeks to get this on the road."

" okay, I'll iris message you tomorrow and we'll discus it." I pecked her again and headed towards the big house where Chiron should be.

Atticus was close behind me, following my every move. I stepped onto the porch and walked in the door. Chiron was sitting in his wheelchair reading a book." Chiron?"

" yes, percy?" He responded barely looking up from his book.

" can Atticus stay here in the big house? he's from Greece and I don't think he's a demigod but I can't keep him safe with me while I at the avengers tower so I've decided her is the best place."

Chiron nodded." He can stay here."

"Thank you." I turned around and led My 'shadow' out onto the porch. I explained to him the situation." You're gonna stay here with Annabeth and my friends while I am with the avengers and Annabeth I'll help you with learning English. I'll visit and see you.okay?"

He nodded.

" I'll miss you." I ruffled his hair as I head out of the camp. I called blackjack and he flew me back to the tower.
