Love in the Mallorn Groves

     You just lay there, he was all you could think about.  Legolas had stolen your heart.  He walked around your camp in Lorien.  You were with the Fellowship of the Ring, and you were taking refuge in the fair forests of Lothlorien.  You sat up in bed, and watched him walk around.  He swept you away every time you looked at him.  You two had been best friends throughout the journey you had been on.  You just hoped beyond hope that he would come to think of you as more than just a friend. 
     He looked with his pale blue eyes, like the sea after a storm, in your direction.  "(Y/N), I didn't know you were awake at this hour."  He said.  "Yes.  I am awake." You said softly.  "In that case, come with me."  He said.  You pulled back your blankets and walked over to him.  He grasped your hand.  You blushed.  Why is he holding my hand?  You thought.  What is he trying to say?  You walked along through the groves of Lorien and out into the night.  You stopped in a large clearing.  "(Y/N)."  He says as he grabs your other hand.  "It is clear to me now.  You are my star.  You are my rock.  I have never beheld one so fair as you.  My life will be hopeless, and empty without you.  You are the kindest, most beautiful girl I've ever known.  I-I-I love you."  He says.  Your heart flutters.  "I wish for you forgiveness of this action."  He says, as he lets go of your right hand, and places his hand on the back of your head.  He pulls you closer to you.  Your lips touch.  Your heart is racing.  He kisses you softly, but with passion and love.  You kiss him back.  As he pulls away from you, a look of shame fills his face.  "Legolas, I-I never in a million years would have thought that you felt that way about me.   I have felt the same way about you ever since I first laid eyes on your fair face."  You say.  "I was afraid that you wouldn't accept me.  I was scared to death that after I kissed you, that you would hate me forever."  He says. "Oh, Legolas, how could anyone ever hate you?"  You say as you pull him towards you and kiss him again.  "Legolas?"  You say.  "Yes, (Y/ N)?"  He replies.  "I love you too."  You say softly.  He kisses you again.
     After many more kisses, you both sit down under a nearby Mallorn tree.  "Now that I know that you love me, and now that we've kissed, I never want to leave you."  You say.  He places an arm around your shoulders and pulls you close.  "I'm never going to leave you."  He says.  You place your head on his shoulder.  Shortly after, you fall fast asleep in his arms.
