Chapter Three

Sunday, 1:07pm

I was sitting on my couch, dinking around on my Kindle Fire, and watching XFactor. There was a commercial that I couldn't skip so I was just playing Subway Surfers. I loved that game, even though it is a lot easier on my phone, I am still really good at it. I ran into a train, but broke my record, I almost restarted the level, but heard the begging of the XFactor. I turned the volume up because I turn it down during commercials, it's kind of a habit that I have.

I couldn't stop thinking about that guy that was in the bakery though. I felt like that would be a face that I could see in a magazine or something. A guy that girls would madly fall in love with just because he's cute and they think he can sing. I don't even know if he can sing or not, I guess it doesn't matter with the technology there is today.

"And the person going home is..." Dermot started, "Kings Land Road!" I let out a sigh of relief, I never really liked Kings Land Road. I mean they are talented, they got as far as they did, but in my opinion I just don't like them.

I resumed to my game, and started listening to Michael Buble performing live. I got tired of Subway Surfers so I switched to Flow Free. I love that game even though it is educational, it doesn't seem like it is.

"Hey Kim, you should go get some more cookies from that bakery." My mum said, well it looks like I'm not the only one who recognized the taste of those.

"But I'm kind of busy, I need to beat this board." I told her, her face dropped like I said something wrong. Well is it really my fault that I don't want to get up? Nevermind.

"Here tell you what, I will have Dylan do your chores for you." She said with a smirk. Wow she really wants those cookies, but there is always a loop.

"What's the catch?" I asked her.

"You have to take Dylan with you." She said. Well that was easy.

"Deal. Dylan!" I yelled. I heard his footsteps start running up the stairs. He didn't have a shirt on and he was only in shorts, well now I have time to beat a few levels of Flow Free.

"What?" He asked annoyed. Wow attitude... I taught him well, I feel proud.

"Get some clothes on, we are going for a walk." I told him, he groaned and trudged himself back down the stairs. I let out a small chuckle.

"Yours and your brothers attitudes are completely from your dads side." My mother said. She had her arms crossed over her chest, looking at me so seriously it was funny.

"What? You can't be serious!" I said humorously.

"It's true," she said, "now I will give you 20£ for 20 cookies." My eyes almost popped out of my head, those cookies are huge, and she wants 20 of them?

"Those cookies are huge, you can't eat 20 of them!" I told her, I didn't even want to go somewhere let alone carry 20 huge cookies.

"Fine 10 cookies, but bring back some cupcakes." I rolled my eyes at her and turned around. Once she couldn't see me all of my shock came out. I shook my head about how my mum is crazy and that all of her teeth are sweet teeth, them put on my blue flats that my "ex" bought me.

"Ugh, why do we have to go to this little bakery anyways? Why can't mum go herself?" Dylan complained, well it looks like I'm not the only lazy one in the house.

"Because mum has to do chores, apparently." I told him, I glanced down at him, which wasn't a far look down, he was almost taller than me... that is kinda sad.

"Well if she does so much chores, then why do we have to do them too?" What was this, 20 questions?

"I don't know. Why don't you ask her?" I asked him, he looked at me with a scared face, and I had to hold in my laugh.

"I'll pass." He said, and I chuckled.

Me and Dylan were currently walking down the street to the bakery. We were going really slow because we both didn't want to go anywhere. I just wanted to chill on the couch and relax before I had to go back to school, and Dylan probably wanted to play video games all day.

I saw the bakery sign not that far away and got excited. The closer we are to the bakery the faster I can get home and relax more and more. I started walking faster, and saw how Dylan had to jog up to me, but still had to speed walk. We shortly made it up to the bakery, but it said closed on it. There were no cars in the driveway or anything, so basically I had to walk all the way over here just to see that it was closed.

"Well this sucks.... well lets head home." I said, I turned around and started walking away. It took Dylan awhile before he started walking but he soon did too. I'm just going to have a problem telling my mother that they were closed so she doesn't get her cookies.
