Chapter Six

Monday, 2:23pm

I started my car engine and pulled off of schools property and onto the road. I was heading to the bakery and then home. My mother decided that it would be nice to text me in the middle of class and get my phone taken away just so that she could tell be to buy cookies and other pastries.

I became good friends with Henry, Luke, Marcus, Harry, Austin, and Missy, but I think Carolina doesn't like me. She gives me dirty looks and whenever I'm around she always tries to suck off Harry's face. I don't know what her deal is, I mean if she thinks I am trying to take her boyfriend I'm not. Why can't she be more like Missy, me and Missy we're cool, she's like my best friend. Here anyways. I'm still far from being as close to my new friends here then I am to my old friends. Friends here are different than the ones in Yorkshire. My new ones are all nice and sweet and are real, but my old ones we all went partying every weekend, snuck out sometimes on week days and would make an excuse that we were sick and couldn't go to school, when really we were just hungover from the day before. That's mostly why I want to go back to Yorkshire, I want to have fun, I don't want to be good, I want to be fun.

I pulled up into the parking lot of the bakery. I pulled out my wallet from my purse to see how much money I have. I had 20£ and was going to lie to my mum and say I had less than that so she doesn't freak out and makes me come back.

I walked inside and heard the familiar ring of the bell when someone opens the door. I looked around and saw only that same elderly couple that I saw when I first came here. This place is really slow no wonder they can barely keep it running.

"Kim!" I heard someone exclaim loudly. I looked to where the loud voice came from and saw Harry standing at the front counter with Carolina.

Well I wonder how well this will go...

"Hey! I just came to pick up some more cookies and see what else you guys got. Hi Care." I say with a smile, I was trying to be as friendly as possible, I was just wondering how long it would take before she starts ticking me off.

"Hi." She says her voice dull. Seriously what did I do to her.

"Well we have this red velvet chocolate cake that has to be the best cake a person can eat." Harry suggested, he brought me out of thoughts on how I was going to attack Carolina if she becomes super jealous again.

"Really? Red velvet is my favorite." I said, the sound of a red velvet cake started to make my mouth water. I would probably kill for a slice of that.

"Well you should trying it, I swear some of the ladies here are the best bakers in history." He told me, and it didn't take that long until I agreed to it.

I ended up leaving with a cake, 5 cookies and a death glare from Carolina that was like warning me to stay away from her boyfriend. Ugh I don't understand her I really don't, and honestly I feel bad for her because I know relationships and I know that one wont end good.

I walked into my house with the cake and the cookies in my hands. I saw Dylan laying on the couch with his IPod playing Subway Surfers. I have trained the young sproutling to be a master, and he has taught me how to play this game on the computer called Tera Rising, and may I say that that is the longest downloading game I have ever seen.

"Hey." He greeted me.

"Hi." I said and sat the pastries into the kitchen. I lifted the top off of the cake and started cutting it. I have to try this cake, it is like a must.

"What's that?" Dylan asked looking up suspiciously. He lifted his head up higher trying to see what I had.

"Cake..." I told him slowly. He looked at me like he wanted that cake just as bad as I did. I held up a plate for him that had a slice of cake on it. That was supposed to be mine, but I can always get another. He ran up and grabbed the cake our of my hands and a spoon and took a giant piece out of it. So that is the difference between guys and girls.

Guys: Stuff their faces with cake and don't know how to savour.

Girls: Eat small pieces so that they can have it longer... most of the time.

I got my own piece of cake and hummed when I tasted it. It was so good I almost.couldn't handle it. I turned around and looked to see if my mum left a note on the counter or something because she does that alot. I did end up finding a note and just prayed that it wasn't chores.

"Remember that door that you found when we first moved in and it was locked? Well I got a locksmith to open it and I think you should go see what it is ;) -Mum" I read in my head. I sat my cake down on the counter and started hopping down the stairs. I was really curious about what was in that room. I have always been obsessed with that door trying to open it and I didn't understand why I guess I just had a feeling about it.

I was right in front of the door and took a deep breath. I didn't know what to expect it could be an extra bathroom for all I know, I just want it to be good and exciting.

My hand gripped the nob and slowly opened the door. I looked inside and gasped at the wonderful sight.
