Burn Nate Burn

Aubrey POV

I walked faster with each step as the old mill bunker got closer and closer. My heartbeat started to beat extremely fast and I am pretty sure Hayden can hear it too. Hayden looked at me with a smile but it faded. Why did it fade? I watched Hayden the rest of the way to the mill and he seemed to be upset and a little lost. Then that's when the smell hit me. The smell of blood. My first thought was that I hoped it wasn't Ryder's blood. Hayden must had smelled it to because he was looking around for the source of where the blood came from. Thats when I saw it; it was a blood trail leading us right to Ryder. We followed it down to the bunker and it lead to a room but it was blocked off. I looked around to make sure that James wasn't anywhere near. When I didn't see him I started to walk to the door with Hayden walking behind me.

"Aww I see you came to the party." A voice behind us said.

I whipped my body around to see James standing there; smirking at us.

"Why did you take Ryder?" I said with a hint of sadness in my voice.

"Well darling before you go and ask about that pathetic mate of yours why don't you ask me how I am doing." James said with a bigger smirk then before.

" Why would I ask that I don't even know you?" I said wondering what James was trying to get at.

"Darling I guess you will just have to figured out who I am but don't worry because I know who you are." James said looking at me with so kind of hope that I would remeber who he was.

I took a good look at James as he steped into the light. His brown hair was bright and his blue eyes shined. Just has they shined they turned gray and I couldn't place the feeling I got from him. I looked him over for a second time while earning a growl from Hayden. Thats when it started coming to me. He looked really familiar and I know him from somewhere. I must have had a lightbulb go off because he started smirking when he realized that it was all coming back to me.

"Well darling does somebody remeber me now?" James said extented his hands and his arms out like he was waiting for a hug.

Then my memory started to come back togther like a puzzle that was torn apart.

"Your name isn't James." I said shaking alittle realizing who he really was.

"Your right, Aubrey I came back for you and I need you back." He said pleading with me.

Hayden looked at me and he seemed very lost and confused. James realized this and sat down and he then pointed to the chairs for Hayden and I to sit down.

"Ok so my name isn't James Storm, my really name is Nate." Nate said looking down.

"Nate, how did you find me?" I said looking at Nate.

"Aubrey I had to come back and apologize for what happened." Nate said looking down and trying not to look at me.

"So you thought that coming back and take my mate away from me would make it all better." I said half yelled at my stupid asshole of a ex-friend.

"Excused me but I would like to know how you to know each other and I would like to know what James or Nate, what the fuck his name is did to you." Hayden said with a hint of jealously.

"Well I will gladly tell you, Hayden." I said giving Nate a look.

"Well it all started when we were 16. Nate and I were best friends until that one day. Nate would always protect me and most of all the other guys would stay away from him. The one day he took me to the lake and we sat there and talked for like what felt like forever. Then he leaned into kiss me and we kissed. After the kiss, he didn't talk to me for a long time. I was pissed at him because he was my best friend and started to like him. When I found him we went to a ride to the Lake.When we got there we sat there staring at each other. Nate broke the silence by saying that he was scared. I asked him why but he wouldn't tell me. He looked me in the eyes and told me that he loved me. I stared at him and then he said something I never expected. He told me that his father killed my dad and that he could no longer talk to me or ever seem me again. Nate kissed my head and walked away from me leaving me there in the dark and coldness. I started to cry because he told me he loved me and then he just left me. I then vowed that if I ever saw him again I would make him tell me what he really was."

Hayden justed looked at me with sadness, anger, and jealously. I looked over towards Nate and he finally looked me in the eyes.

"I know and I regret leaving you." Nate said

"What the hell are you Nate what the hell is worng with you why the hell would you take my mate. By the way after you left me I got in a bad relationship and the guy would beat me and hurt me so see what you did to me, Nate." I said letting all the pain and sadness taking hold of me.

He looked at me and he looked like he was pissed at the last part but that was his own dam fault that I got hurt. Then he looked back down and began to say something.

"I'm a hunter/werewolf and I took Ryder because I have to kill him." He said avoiding my eyes.

"Well you can go to hell because I will not let you kill Ryder." I said feeling my wolf side take control.

"Darling I know but I have to because I can't let Ryder have you." Nate said.

With that Hayden stood up and protected me from Nate. Hayden then told me to go find Ryder. Nate didn't seem to like that because he jumped up and started walking towards me. Hayden grabbed Nate by his throat and pushed him aganist a wall. Nate had no chance since he was half hunter and werewolf, Nate had less power unless we were outside where Nate could created storms. Then the real fight started and Nate did a flip and hit Haydens nose which sent Hayden back gripping his nose. Nate came running at Hayden but Nate was caught and thrown back against the wall. Then Nate jumped back up and this time he kicked Hayden back leaving Hayden lying there. Hayden didn't get up he layed there and I ran over to him. He said he was fine so I stood up looking at Nate and that's when I saw that Nate had a couple broken ribs. Time to play a game, Aubrey.

" Nate I missed you so much come here please I want to heal you." I said with a sad lovey look

He walked towards me and sat down looking at me. I walked over towards him and I pressed my hand to his chest and let my fire burn him. He started screaming and then he jumped up just in time for him to fall on the ground. He laid there dead. I want to scream at him for causing my heart to break over and over again. How could he do this to me again.

I remembered that Hayden was still there so I went over to heal him. When I finished healing him; he said we might want to find Ryder, so we went to that room. There was Ryder laying there looking half dead to the world I ran to him. He looked at me with a pained expression and then he slapped me across the face. I fell to the ground feeling the darkness take me over.

I then awoke and I realized that we were still in the bunker. Hayden helped me up and gave me a sad look and I wanted to ask him why Ryder did it. Then I looked at Ryder and he looked at me with a expression that confused me. I watched Ryder start to walk out of the room and start to leave this old bunker. I looked at Hayden and he just picked me up and we walked out of the room towards Nate's body. I looked at his body and I felt guilty because I truly did love him once but that was before he left me. On my way out I turned back around and walked back to his body with Hayden watching me careful.

"Burn in hell, Nate." I said then I walked away and got out of that old bunker.

Ok so if you are confused James Storm is actually Nate Storm, Aubrey's ex-friend/ex-lover. He changed his name to James because he had to hide his identity because he is a werewolf/hunter.
