My name is Tristan, Tristan Brown. I'm 17 years old. Some people call me retarded because I talk funny and I walk funny. I live with my father and my brother, my mother died giving birth to me. That's what my father told me, he doesn't talk about her much. My brother's name is Travis, and he's 16. He's nice to me sometimes. My father's name is Raymond, he's 38. Travis is a ladies man, grateful for his naturally good looks he received from my father. He has nice bronze skin, a square face with a broad jaw line, and a million dollar smile that all girls fell for. I, on the other hand, received my features from my mom. I have butter toned skin, with brown freckles underneath my brown eyes. I guess I have a nice smile, I could use braces but I'm already stupid. I don't want to be known as the stupid kid with braces.
It was a regular Morning, we all were seated around the wooden kitchen table. Travis was swirling a basketball around his right index finger, while munching on a banana that was held in his left hand. My father was sipping black coffee silently as his eyes peered at the newspaper lying on the table.
"S-School d-day?" I asked. I wanted to go to school today. I only went to school once a week. Bullying and my unfair learning disabilities was the cause of that.
"If you want," My father responded casually. His husky voice trailing through the room.
"Dad really?" Travis groaned as his brown eyes sharply glared at me.
"Y-you d-do don't g-gotta w-w-w-watch me t-this t-t-time," I stammered uncontrollably as I avoided looking at Travis.
"Of course I have to watch you," Travis retorted as he rolled his eyes, apparently annoyed at me for wanting to go to school.
He stood up quickly, scooping up his backpack from the floor, lightly jogging towards the door. He looked back briefly, his eyes meeting mine.
"You coming or not?".
I nodded slowly as I clumsily fell out of my chair, momentarily regaining my balance. I grabbed my backpack off of the floor, then followed Travis outside. The bright sunlight greeted my unaware face, causing me to groan.
"Eww don't ever groan like that again," Travis snapped as he purposely walked faster.
"S-Sorry," I uttered as I tried to walk faster, but I fell once again.
"Come on Tristan, stop falling," Travis spoke annoyed. He stopped walking and waited for me to get up.
I struggled to get my balance back, eventually I did.
Seconds later we were waiting at a bus stop, where people stood around with droopy faces. I clutched my backpack tightly as I wobbled to a nearby seat. I hated standing too much, that really messed up my balance. I looked back at Travis, who was preoccupied with flirting with some girl. She was pretty, I guess. She had red hair, light brown eyes, and braces on her crooked teeth. The only thing that really caught my attention was her huge butt. That's probably why Travis was talking to her, he liked girls with big butts. I watched in jealousy as the girl twirled her red hair around her index finger and smiled in Tristan's face. In a matter of seconds she was handing him her phone.
I sighed slowly as I looked the other way. I wish I was like Travis. The bus had finally came, making an abrupt stop in front of the bus stop. People piled onto the bus one by one. The bus smelled like newspapers and cologne. I handed the old bus driver my money, then took a seat in the back. Travis sat in the front, talking with the girl who had gave him her number. Little did she know, she would be replaced in a couple days. It only took thirty minutes for the bus to arrive at our school. As I stepped out of the bus, and into the school Travis had hit my shoulder.
"Ima catch up with you later aight? Just go the main office to get a schedule. You remember where the main office is right?".
I nodded my head even though I didn't remember where the main office was. Travis smirked before he scurried off. I looked around at the crowded and chaotic hallway. I took a deep breath, clutching onto my backpack again. I pushed pass people in the hallway, in an attempt to find the main office. The bell had rung, and people had went to their classes. Then there was me, nervously walking around the now empty hallway.
"Excuse me, are you lost?".
I slowly turned around, staring into the most beautiful dark brown eyes I had ever seen in my life. I skeptically observed the girl, she was so pretty. She had straight brown hair that reached her shoulders, a medium sized nose that had a piercing in it, plump pink lips, and her skin was the color of milk chocolate. It looked so smooth, I just wanted to touch her. As my eyes roamed down, they stopped at her perky beast that was halfway exposed from her tight shirt. Before my eyes trailed any lower she spoke again.
"Um, what class are you supposed to go to?".
"T-T-T-the m-m-main o-office?" I responded.
"Oh, okay it's right down that hallway. You want me to walk you there?".
I nodded my head.
She nodded as she walked down the hallway, swaying her wide hips. I followed behind her. While we walked she spoke again, her eyes peering at me.
"What's your name?".
"M-m-m-my n-n-name I-is T-t-tristan," I stammered.
The girl chuckled softly, her eyes beamed skeptically.
"I'm Angel," She extended her arm as she smiled brightly, revealing her white straight teeth.
I politely shook her hand, enjoying the sound of her bracelet dangling on her wrist.
She stopped once she stood in front of a glass door that had the words 'Main Office' painted in black on it.
"This is It,".
I looked up, glancing at the door then back at her.
"B-b-b-bye,".
She smiled briefly before she disappeared down the halls.
I took one last look at the door, pulling it open without any difficulty.
Maybe this school thing wouldn't be so bad.
