Grays P.O.V.

I can't believe it. She came for me. My heart is still pumping a million beats per second. I look up when I hear a cough; and see Lyon standing there.

I part from Juvia; and go up to Lyon to talk to him. He is slightly blushing; but he has this teasing smile on his face. I say "Don't even start." He holds up his hands and says "So that is Princess juvia?" I nod he has a wicked grin on his face.

That's when he says "So what are you going to do? Stay or leave?" He is right what am I going to do now. I say "I think I should talk to her about this." Lyon nods wishes me luck; and leaves.

After a minute I turn around so I can talk to Juvia. I go up to her and say "We need to talk." She looks really scared. Juvia is all shaky. I grab her hand; and squeeze it hoping she understands I am trying to help her.

We find a secluded area to talk in. Juvia speaks first "I'm sorry for coming here Gray this was a mistake." I feel pain in my chest when she says that. She regrets it?

I try to calm her down by rubbing my arm on her back; but she moves away; and says "I love you.... but this doesn't change anything I still have my dream." She is still going on about that.

I am so angry that I am literally shaking all over the place. I yell "Then why come down here! Why kiss me if you knew that we couldn't be together?" Juvia has big tears running down her face as she says "Because I love you dang it Gray, because I love you."

Juvia swims away while crying. I cry to on the floor right there. Lyon finds me a little later. He looks at me; and says "Lets go Gray." I look where Juvia left; and leave.

1 Year Later

Juvia P.O.V.

It has been one full year after everything with Gray. I have been very busy getting to know the human world; and there society.

Luckily for me I have a very kind; and patient roommate. Her name is Lucy which is kind of ironic; and her boyfriends name is Natsu.

We live in a small apartment that has two bedrooms one bath and one dining room. I have a job here as well. I have decided to bake for a living. I work at a small bakery; and I help make plus decorate.

Its a great job and I am pretty good at it thanks to my great teacher in the palace. A feeling of sadness sweeps over me.

I really should visit my father soon otherwise I will go crazy with home sickness. I try to visit as often as possible.

I haven't seen Gray since what happened. I have met other guys; but they just aren't him. I miss him so much.

Honestly this dream of mine would have been better if Gray we here; but I guess we just weren't meant to be after all.

I go into work today; and I told my boss Macy that I was taking a weekend trip. She is a kind older woman so she lets me have the weekend of and wishes me luck.

I quickly meet my Father at the dock where we can speak together. He and I meet here so I can transform.

After you end up becoming human they give you these pill things so you can visit your family. It turns you back into a mermaid for about three whole days.

I happily take the pill. Next thing I know I am in the water in mermaid form. I follow Father back to the castle. More like race him back. I zoom through the water recalling hundreds of memories.

Finally I reach the castle. Once I'm there I quickly visit my bedroom. Nothing has changed in here. It is still the same. I quietly leave my bedroom; and go to Grays old room.

I climb into his bed; and smell the comforter. It still has my grays smell on it. The tears fall continuously as I fall asleep that night.

When I wake up in the morning I go to swim around. While I am swimming I see a human ship. I swim closer to it. Just when I am about to see the surface I am pulled down.

I thrash around in shock. Then as I am about to yell at this person I see there face. Grays face, the person I have been crying over for a year.

Gray looks surprised at seeing me. We both float there as we look at each other. He has grown a bit since I lost saw him. He also has some light stubble going on.

Grays P.O.V.

I can not believe that it is her. My princess who I lost to those humans. Juvia looks a little older. She has longer hair; and her hands have callouses from working. She looks happy though.

After a moment I say "Princess, how has life been in the human world?" She smiles and says "Its been great Gray I even work at a bakery. What about you, what have you been up to?"

I smile and say "Planning a wedding." Her smile instantly vanishes of her beautiful face. Juvia forces a fake smile and says "Oh congratulations Gray I hope you are happy." She sounds jealous. I smile and say " Thanks I hope Lyon is happy with his soon to be bride."

She looks surprised as she says "Oh I wish him the best." Then once again it is very quite between us. All of a sudden we hear "Princess."

I remember when that used to be my job. I miss her. She says "Well I need to go, bye Gray." Once more she leaves me. I swim after her; and I quickly catch up to her.

Then I say "Juvia I let you go once; and it was the biggest mistake of my life." She looks shocked after I say that. Then she wraps her arms around me; and we stay like that for a while.
