The Mermaid and the Shark

A new dream

Juvias P.O.V.

His warmth is so familiar to me. We stay floating just hugging each other. Then after a minute we let go. Gray looks at me with those familiar dark blue eyes. A thousand memories replay in my head.

I then say "Goodbye Gray." After that I quickly swim to my bodyguard. He started here a few months ago so he is pretty new to the bodyguard thing. I almost feel bad that his first job is me. He starts to yell at me "Your highness there you are! I have been looking all over for you."

After he yells at me we quickly make our way to the castle. Once I am back I say hi to everyone. All of the maids that I missed since I became human. I tell Jenny ,the woman who taught me cooking, about where I work; and all the different cakes I have worked on. I c

I missed this. Being surrounded by my family. The people helped raise me.  The human world is okay; but I miss this. I can't believe it took this long for me to realize this. I belong here. When I go back to the human world I will pack my bags; and come back. I hope Lucy will understand.

Besides I did what I wanted to do. Which is see the human world. I lived there for a whole year; and I got to experience some new things. Now I just need a new dream; and I think I know what it should be.

Firstly though I need to go see my father. Standing up I hurriedly go through hallways.  Father is in the throne room. He is dealing with his advisors. I should probably wait before going in there. I decide to go  visit library.

Marty is in there just like always. He is softly humming a song while he is putting books back on there shelves. I watch as he does that. It  brings back all the times I was in here. With and without Gray. While thinking about that I remember the fish who always followed us. I haven't seen mine around since the argument with Gray.

Maybe that's why they left we are no longer lovers. I blush while thinking about that.  Marty suddenly said "Hello Juvia how have you been?" I smiled at his kind face. Then I sat down and told him how my life in the human world is

Marty after hearing everything asks "What about Gray? Does he live in the human world with you?." My smile falls a bit at this. "No Gray doesn't like the humans since they killed his parents; and Ur. So we aren't together anymore."

Marty looks surprised he says "I thought you two were going to get married. That's how serious I thought you two were."  After I have talked with Marty I talk to my father. Father is sitting in the throne room. HE looks stressed has he looks over paperwork. Father has to get most of the council to agree to a new law before it can be put in place.

Father always struggles with it. He knows that some of his ideas could help the people; but if the council doesn't agree it gets thrown out. I walk up to him and say "What is wrong father?"

When he see's me he smiles and says "The same old thing. The council doesn't agree to anything. Your sister; and I stayed up late writing this." I smile at that my sister is going to make a wonderful Queen.

I look the law over. It would really help out a lot of people; and its very well written. I'm surprised they didn't like it. That is the council though. I do need to talk to my sister. She has been very busy with royal business. She seems happy from the letters she writes; but I want to be sure.

I feel bad that I left putting all of this on her shoulders; but my sister has always been better at being Queen than me. Father says "So, not that I don't love seeing you, but why are you here?" 

"Father I have decided that I want to come home. I was wondering if you would still accept me back. I have spent a year in the human world. I have learned there ways. I have experienced what I wanted to. Now I'm ready to come back home."

He smiles; and says "Of course you can come back home if that is what you really want. We have missed you being in the human world." Alright looks like I will be coming back here. Since I have finished this dream I need a new one. A certain dark blue eyed shark boy is a part of it. Or at least I hope he is.

I wonder what his face will look like when I tell him about this. Will he be happy; and excited because we can be together. Or will he have already moved on from that. I guess I will find out tomorrow when I tell him.
