Just a Flame

Here I was cleaning the stables, without a second thought. I scooped the last of the horse manure out of the stall. I patted the horses nose, as I walked by.
Levi was surly to be happy about this. Him being a clean freak, and all. (Finally....... I can rest....) My face stung a little less then now, before I started.

I sat down on the ground under one of the horses stalls. "...... I could really use something sweet..." A strange nudge on the top of my head made me look up.

".....??who-" Only to have my eyes meet with one of the black horses in the stable. "Oh hehe, coming to say are you?" I smiled. Petting the side of its face.
"Who's your owner...mh?" I smiled at the horse, he was so gentle, and very tall. It wasn't Spirit, no this one had a different vibe about him.

I felt a sudden sting in my face again. "Fffft..!" I winced, looking away. ( Great, it still hurts..) It made my face burn, like if it was a fever. I could feel the horse nudge me again lightly.
"...don't worry, I'm alright." I whispered to him. A sudden voice from outside shut my mind off.

"Gather around Cadets!"

It sounded like Levi. I hugged my legs to myself, and listened. I didn't care to move right now. I had a reason, still in healing mode right?

"We are going out on patrol, these are direct orders from Erwin. The five of you are coming with me." Suddenly his voice paused.

"Wheres Cadet_____?"

"!!" (Ah ccccrap....) I could feel my stomach sink. He wasn't too far from where the stables was.

"Ah Sir, shouldn't she be resting in her room?" A voice replied,

Silence once again...

"...Sir! _____ is not in her room."

"W-what? Was all he said. By now I could pictured Levi's face get veins on it in annoyance.

"Are you kidding me? How dose one jus-* He paused* DON't answer that. Just get your horses!"

"SIR!" They all saluted.

* Tap tap tap tap* I could hear boots come closer, and closer to where I was.

( I better go, or I'm toast!!!)

I could hear the sound of boots stop. ( Too late)

"Just what the hell are you doing here Cadet!?" ( Time to burn....)

* Thump thump thump* The ravenette Captain came closer ( Damn...why is this guy so intimidating...) It made us cower in fear of him at times.
"...." I didn't reply.

"I asked you a question, now answer-......* he stopped, giving a hard looked around the place, then at the horse, and then back at me*...did you clean the stable?"

I looked up like a scared child, funny because I was actually taller then the guy, However, right now he towered over me. I could see the looked on his face suddenly change, he didn't have veins on his face anymore. His eyes as cold, as always, but still.

* snort* I felt the horse nudge the back of my head. "!" (A- hey! that hurts!) I bit my lip at the sting.

"Tch, dose not matter. * He adjusted his white scarf* Get up Cadet, you are coming with us. You must be 10 meters of me at all time."

"...Understood." I slowly began to stand. Feeling myself grow over Levi's height. My legs hurt a little once again.
I left Levi all alone in the stable, as I grabbed my horse. Only to have Levi turn a few more times, never in a while has he seen such a clean stable.
There was no serious bio hazard left there anymore.
The main hazard, was those titans.
Or if Levi yelled, it was a hazard to our ears, and body.

{ Outside}

"Oh,_____ what are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be resting." I looked up, at Eren's voice speaking to me.
"...can't stay bed ridden forever, I wanted to stretch."

Eren castes his eyes down. " Or did he force you..?"

"N-no..,haha not a change." I adjusting the saddle on Spirit's back. "Here____, as a new member you need of of these." I saw a ODM Gear get held up to my face.
It was Erwin. "E-Erwin...whaaat- ah ..ah...thank You Sir." I finally spat it out.
The blonde only smiled. "Here I'll help." Before I knew it Erwin taught me to hook on the gear. It was heavy, but it was to be expected. Things like this needs to be strong to hole a human.

"No problem Miss Cadet ____." (Miss again? why doesn't call me.. the normal way, like Levi.)

"Take care." With that he walked away to attend to other matters.

"..wow...."

"Haha, nice! looks good on you." Eren beamed. I knew he was just trying to make me feel better. Still I could feel pain, just as much as a this morning.

Everyone began to mount their horses. I stood there next to Spirit. He stood there, with no movement, and ready for me to get on. I swallowed, and grabbed the saddle. Lifting my leg up, only to realise I couldn't bend it anymore.

"....mh..!" I groan to myself. (Ah..ah. ow..ow....my leg won't...TCH!!! ) I hissed. No matter how much I tried, my leg wouldn't bend that far, because each time I did try to climb up. Screaming pain struck me.

"____? is everything alright?" Eren came up to me on horse back.

"....not exactly.."
His emerald eyes widen. "W-wah, what's wrong?" He jumped off his horse, as I still suffered on trying to climb up.

"Here....let me help..." Just like that I was picked up from the ground, while my arms still clung to the saddle.
I was placed up on my horse. "T-thank you Eren."

"No problem, please don't push yourself too much okay?"
I nod my head, only to hear a voice *Tch* from behind me. "..." ( Oh shut it.. you have no idea how painful it is. ) I looked at the passing Levi with a death look.

"Let's Ride!" Levi, galloping in the front we followed close behind him.

Make that Directly behind him. Yes, I had no choice in the matter. Eren, and I where stuck right behind the Captain. I looked see Eren point at something

".?.?.?" I looked at his in confusion. He only turned to point towards Levi.

".?.?" (What?) I still couldn't tell, what he saw.

*point point point!* His finger out in the air, still pointing at Levi. (Eren, you can point point point all you want, I don't UNDERSTAND!)
I could tell Jean, was thinking the same thing, by the look on his face.
(💦?The hell Eren...?)

Armin just smiled at me, each time I looked back. (.....clueless ....huh..)

I looked forward, looking out to the land. It was as if I was looking for something without even realising it.

"Everyone look sharp, we are heading inside." Just as Levi finished, we rode right into a deep mini forest, with very high trees.

"...." Something gave me a weird feeling in my stomach.
