I remember feeling so alone.
Only seventeen and a half years old.
Then you came, and you sang
and I went insane.
So what a mess we became.
I held you hand and collected your tears.
The ones you held in for fourteen years.
The ones made by your deepest fears.
I kissed your head has you slept.
Held your small body in my arms as you wept.
Your heart was never the best,
all that pain held inside your chest.
I kept it clam as you laid to rest.
With a smile and kiss,
you foold me I admit.
You lied and said you were fine,
if only I had known that was your last night.
If only I had said good bye.
