I woke up after a nightmare about getting kidnapped and living with a group of men, but then I saw Trayton sleeping next to me and remembered my adventure. I kissed him on the cheek.

"Wake up, sleepy head, Theo wanted us to go and patrol the territory early in the morning," I nudged him. He slowly peeled his eyes open and stared at me.

"I'll go on patrol, you stay here."
"What? Why?"

"Cause, you're human."

I didn't understand his logic.
"So what if I'm human? I can still go with you!" He shouted back, " We just found out that the Lost Shadows are going to kill you, and as your mate, I am not letting you leave this place, do you understand?!" I nodded, feeling fear as I starting think of him as Theo again. I wanted to look around the Silver Blood territory, after all, being cooped up in a single point for so long made me really curious about beyond the forests and not even my fear of Trayton or Theo could change that. I made sure Trayton was gone on his patrol and that the wind wouldn't allow him to pick up my scent, and I ran out to the exact opposite direction he did.

After running around the territory for hours, I got tired and sat down next to a tree with blood on it.

"Eww, who died here?" I asked myself. After looking around the tree, I saw something too disturbing. I found Olivia's body.... Before I could even process it, I ran back to Theo and Caven as fast as my tired legs could. By the time I got back, my eyes were swollen from crying.

"Arianna, what's wrong? Where were you?"

Caven asked. I wiped my tears off and tried to reply without crying.

"I went patrolling with Trayton and we split up, I found Olivia's dead body. She was killed!" I wailed. Theo said, "Where did you find her? I need to see her so I can tell who killed her. Caven, you go and find Trayton, I need you two to hunt." Caven nodded and turned into his werewolf form. I watched as he ran off. I tried to run as fast as I could with Theo behind me. I turned around a tree and stopped. Theo walked in front of me and looked at Olivia. He sniffed the tree with her blood on it. Theo looked at me and wiped the rest of my tears away. He opened his mouth and said, "As we were coming this way, I picked up a stale scent and now I'm sure I kmow what it is. Olivia was caught betraying her pack. Vincent must have sent someone to kill her." I tilted my head and

I was confused. "Who's Vincent?" I asked. He replied, "Vincent used to be my friend, but now we're enemies. Just as I became the alpha of our pack, the Silver Bloods, he became the alpha of--" I cut him off, "-- the Lost Shadows?" Theo nodded. As we looked at Olivia, I looked back at him and realized that he wasn't the mean man that kidnapped me. He seemed... nicer....
