"Mum, Doreen is here!" Shouted Chloe my 10 year old sister, way to happily for a Monday morning. She's always had a knack for being friendly so her and the postman had a good relationship. Doreen is our postman (or woman).
"Hello dearest," said Doreen with a smile. "I have lots of post for you today. I think one might be a birthday present!" Chloe bounced up and down excitedly, still too early in the morning to have that much energy, especially a Monday!!
"Hey Jana? This ones for you!" Chloe hopped like a cute spring bunny and handed me an envelope. It had bright green fancy writing and a wax print on the back. I screamed so high pitched out of excitement that our dog shot upstairs.
I grabbed my phone and rang my bestie as fast as humanly possible. "Hello?"
"Ashley!!! My bloody letter came today!! So excited cocoa is scared of me!"
"Poor dog" Ashley said giggling "how's Chloe doing?"
"She's ok. I don't know how she has so much energy on a Monday morning!" I said with a sigh
"Well I might know..."
"What?!!! Ashley you can't just say that! Tell me nooooww!!"
"She has a boyfriend." Ashley announced
"Jesus on a pickle! Mum! Your daughter has a boyfriend!" I shouted down the stairs
"I know dear you and Olly are goals" said my mum trying to be cool
"Not me you numpty, Chloe!" I said annoyed at her stupidity
"Chloe Olivia Green get your little butt here now!!" Mum shouted in a joking way
Chloe skipped to the kitchen and told mum all about Luke. I was totally not listening in... ok I was and it was worth it. Little did Chloe know that Ashley was still on the phone listening in too. We had so much to talk about on Saturday.
