Try outs begin today. I'm so excited. I want to be the keeper on the Ravenclaw team. Olly is trying out for the seeker. I hope we both make the team. If not I wouldn't mind cheering him on. I would like that. Him showing off, winning, celebrating, romantically kissing me in front of the house...
"Jana?!" Ashley snapped her fingers I front of my face "Jana God damnit!"
I finally came out of my dreamy state. "Sorry." I said blushing.
"You've got to get your head in the game. I'll be watching you ok. We've got your back girl." She said with her hand on my shoulder. It was reassuring.
We got into our positions and listened out for the whistle. Madam Hooch threw the quaffle into the air and the game begun.
As keeper I was getting rather cold just sitting here waiting for something to happen. Out of nowhere the quaffle came flying towards my face. I panicked and spun around on my broom. Luckily I got the timing just right so the back of my broom hit the quaffle perfectly into my team mates hand. I heard several cheers from the few people watching but there was one cheer that was abit OTT. What a surprise that when I looked to see who it was I saw a gay boy, with pink Pom Poms, a whistle, and some weird glasses cheering and screaming like he just got a puppy.
"Thanks Austin. You can calm down now!" I shout across the pitch.
I see afew people laugh at the gay first year, I feel rage bubble up inside me like coke at a party. My face goes red. I channel my rage into enthusiasm for the game.
That worked. I saved so many goals! Austin has now lost his voice from all the cheering. He was sweating like mad he needed a shower although the faint scent of chocolate still lingered in the air.
"We made the team Jana. I'm so happy!" Olly said excitedly holding my hands facing me "we're going to win this!" He kissed me on the forehead as I was shorter than him which he always took the piss out of.
The first Quiditch game is in two weeks so we have plenty of time to train and get homework covered. I hope that nothing gets in the way...
