The snow gently settled on the dead branches of tall trees.
The window steamed up. It was cold outside and my face was inches away from the glass.
A scarf around my neck in my house colours, a mug filled with luscious hot chocolate. The smell exciting my senses.
I was up so early I was before breakfast. Everyone was opening presents but I was in the kitchen making my own Christmas breakfast like home. It didn't match mums. Not even dad can beat it and he's amazing at cooking. Nothing can beat his roast potatoes. Not even the one at Hogwarts are that good."Hey," a dreamy voice said. A minute of silence passed. The sound of my tear dropping to the floor could be heard a mile away.
Luna stepped forward and took the cold mug from my closed hands. She stroked my light pink nails and held my hands. The dreamy girl pulled me into a hug.
It wasn't a quick hug. It wasn't a friend hug. It wasn't a relationship hug. It was a family hug. A way of saying I'm here for you and I'm family when their not there.
I felt happy. Her love warmed me up inside. I told her everything that was upsetting me but one I struggled to say. A lump formed at the back of my throat, my mouth went dry and something snapped in my heart again; just like when I saw it.
"Oh dear. I don't know what to say Jana. I'm sorry," Luna said, her mouth open wide. "I can recommend something though, talk to both of them first then see if you want to stick with them or never speak to them again." Luna said with a helpful smile before pulling me into another hug. "Lets go to the tree, ignore everything and have a fun Christmas Day!"
"Thanks Luna. For being here when my supposed best friend isn't." I say with a small smile. We skip off to the common room.
I was so grateful for the amazing gifts I got. The best part was seeing other people's faces. I didn't each much at breakfast as I'd already eaten. People picked up on it but I said I was going to be eating other stuff throughout the day and it's Christmas so I can. They shut up then.
We all went out for the day drinking butter beer, eating sweets and singing Christmas carols really badly. That was very fun.
I talked to Austin what I said to Luna. His reaction was as gay as you could imagine. Even though it was an upsetting story it was fun to tell as I 'banta'ed along with Austin.
"So I wanted to go for a walk on Christmas Eve night to look at all the pretty stuff. I went to get a butter beer right, I sat down and not that many people were there. I heard a familiar laugh so I moved closer. I saw Ashley laughing and playfully flirting with someone. I had no idea who it could be because she doesn't like anyone. I lean my head slightly and see Olly. I was so confused I just thought ok they're friends at the moment. I was so wrong. I turned around because a chair fell off a table right. I turn back around and I see Olly and Ashley practically eating each others faces. They were kissing like mad. My heart snapped and I felt so betrayed by both of them I ran out. It was kind of dark by then but I managed to find my way back to Hogwarts. I cried my self to sleep and no one else heard me." I said crying
"Oh my god babe!" He pulled me into the best chocolatey hug.I felt better to let it all out. "Talk to them and see what happens. I got your back babe!" He said nicely.
I am not looking forward to this. At all!
