Coincidence?

Chapter 24

You and Baekhyun had to wake up early this morning. So you were standing in front of his car, waiting until Baekhyun was ready. He was the one who woke up too late this time. It was cold and you had to wrap your hands around yourself to keep you a bit warm. "Ah Baekhyun, it's cold! Let's go already." You whined. Suddenly, you felt some arms wrapped around your waist from the back. "I'm here, let's go baby." You turned around and find a smiling Baekhyun in front of your face. You tapped his nose and nodded. He opened the door of the car and grinned. "My lady." You gave him a smile before getting into the car.

Once you were both in the car, with Baekhyun  driving, you fell asleep immediately. You slept for a hour and woke up when he stopped to refuel his car. You stretched out and searched for Baekhyun. You found him outside, talking harshly in the phone. He looked so unamused and angry. You couldn't hear him talk but it seems that this conversation was really serious and you began to worry. What was he talking about. He calmed down a bit and began to speak in a more relaxing way. He nodded and closed his eyes. Something was really bothering him, you could feel it. You lowered your head to look at the ring Baekhyun had given you. You stroked it carefully and began to smile. Was this all real? Wasn't this all a dream? Wasn't Baekhyun just a dream? It felt like you could just wake up from your very long dream. You didn't want to think about it and closed your eyes. Baekhyun opened the door and stepped in the car. "Y/n, are you awake?" You opened your eyes. "Yeah I'm awake." You smiled. "Good." He leaned forward and kissed you on your forehead. He began to drive again and his face went from cute and happy to serious again. "Uh baek, who were you calling, just now?" "Oh uhm, it was suho. He said that our trip was taking a bit too long." "But why were you so angry?" Baekhyun sighed and you could feel the tension growing between you. "I told him that I proposed to you. And he wasn't that happy about it. He said I was being unrealistic and unreasonable. So I got a little angry at him. He even told me I had to take your ring back." You watched his face and he seemed so stressed.. then you grabbed his hand. "Baekhyun, don't worry. I'm sure this will work out and it's going to be alright. But right now, this came little unexpected for him. He probably didn't expect this at all. So you have to understand him. He's only thinking about your career you know. I kinda understand him. I mean, you are a universal star and loved by a lot of fans from all over the world. He just have to take this news in. I'm sure he will understand your feelings too after a while." He sighed again. He didn't seem to be calmed by your words. "Y/n, sweetie, I don't want to loose you. Gosh I really don't want that to happen. I need you, so bad. The past years without you were so hard for me. I thought about you every day. I love you with all my heart y/n. I can't let you go that easily." You were touched by his words they teared your heart apart. This situation was hard. You know he couldn't let his fans down. He just couldn't. And furthermore, he couldn't let the rest of EXO down. You had no idea what to do or what to say. "Baek, don't worry it'll work out..." You grabbed his hand and kissed it gently. He breathed out and nodded with effort. "I love you too baby, don't you ever forget that." You said while you leaned forwards to kiss his cheek. He was focused on the road but you could see him smile and it made your heart at peace again.

Once you arrived at your house, it was midnight. You slowly opened the door and walked in the darkness of the hall of your house. Baekhyun followed you quietly, you both didn't want to wake your mom and little sister up. You walked towards the kitchen and closed the door gently behind you. Then you turned the lights on and began to talk. "Let's eat something before going to bed, I'm hungry." Baekhyun smiled and walked towards you to hug you. "Y/n... I suddenly felt the need to hug you. I want to hold you like this forever. Without any worries. Just the two of us." "Baekhyun..." You wanted exactly the same. Why must he be this famous? Why couldn't he be a normal guy who you met at university. Why couldn't he just be yours? Those questions made you really sad. Always the why questions, where you couldn't find the answers for. You hugged him tighter and squeezed your body into his. You didn't want to let go for even a second. "What do want to eat, y/n?" He pulled back from the hug and waited for your answer. "I'll find something to make." "Okay I'll help you!" "Uh no baek, I can make if myself, you can't cook." You winked and walked towards the fridge. "You're right, I suck at cooking. Won't you teach me how to cook?" He smirked for a second and winked. "Sure come here, I'll teach you." You chuckled while you gave him a smirk and a wink back. You loved this playful side of his. He just makes your life so bright with everything he does or says. You were never bored when you were with him. He had lighten up your whole world.

"Baekhyun, are you sleeping?" "No I'm awake. What's wrong baby?" You sighed. "I can't sleep... I-I." "Ay what's the matter, something is bothering you isn't it?" You shoved closer to Baekhyun and took his hand in yours. "I don't know Baekhyun, I just don't know." He sighed and placed a hand on your cheek. "I've got an idea of what's bothering you. It has to do with exo's Baekhyun right?" "I thought about it, and you know me, I always overthink and I came to the point, what if we have to break up in the end? What if it doesn't be okay after all?" "Sweetie don't think about it too much, I'll handle it. We have to wait. Let just sleep for now, I'll tell all of the boys the news tomorrow. They'll understand it. Suho will understand it too. It's okay y/n. Go sleep right now. You must be tired." You nodded and fell asleep in his arms....
