{memo: a storm occurs and Dan gets a lil scared}

It was a quiet day in the Dan and Phil flat, or phlat as they would call it. The windows were partially opened and a calm breeze flew around the flat. The sun was high above the sky, clouds going in different directions. Trees were swaying happily, as well as the house plants Dan and Phil have bought over the years. It was beyond a beautiful day. Suddenly, it wasn't anymore. A huge cloud rolled over the sky and began to grumble loudly.

Rain.

First it was just little pellets of rain, then huge drops from the sky, going in every direction. Dan and Phil quickly went around the flat, closing every window in sight. They finished, just in time as well for a huge shock of lightning and more rain to fall down quickly onto the windows. Both men sighed and looked out the window. "How could it have rained that fast in the matter of seconds?" Phil asked Dan rhetorically, partially knowing he wouldn't get an answer. "I'm not sure. I guess our beautiful day is ruined though." Dan said glumly, shrugging his shoulders with even less care then what he had in his voice. "Yeah I guess so, but it won't ruin our day! We can play games inside as well, not everything is outside Dan." Phil exclaimed, trying to ramp up his unenthusiastic friend. Dan laughed at him. "You may, I'm going to my own room, see ya." Dan replied, walking out of the room and into his own. A sad smile was lining Phil's face as he watched Dan just walk away. He sighed to himself, walking to his own room as well. Dan walked into his room, flopping down on his bed, pulling his MacBook on his stomach in the process. "Like there would be anything fun to do inside." Dan mumbled to himself. Phil was in his room, on his MacBook as well. He heard a shock of lightning and more grumbles of the storm, rain quickly falling onto the already closed windows in the process. Phil sighed quietly to himself and put his headphones on so he didn't have to listen to the sounds of the storm, hoping it would pass soon. Now, Dan had a bunch of fears, some which he never mentioned to Phil. One in particular would be his fear of storms. Yes, that's right, storms. He admits that he's scared of the dark, of unrealistic things, even trees, but he didn't mention the one about storms. Dan heard the shock of lightening as well and quickly tried to block the sound out.

BOOM

The second shock of lightning sent Dan over board. He closed his laptop and threw it to the ground, curling up in his blanket. Another shock of lightning and Dan whimpered, feeling unprotected. Phil's laptop died right then, making him hear the whimpering sound of his roommate. Phil quickly got up and ran towards Dan's door. "Dan? Are you okay in there?" Phil asked nicely, making Dan smile at this. "I'm fin-!" Dan accidentally yelled as he was responding, a yelp escaped his throat, him hiding more under the covers. Phil sighed and opened the door quietly. "Dan?" Phil questioned, only getting a whimper from Dan in response. Dan felt his bed sag a bit, noticing another person was sitting beside him as he curled up in a ball. He stuck his head out to see if it was Phil, and it was. Another shock of lightening, and Dan leaped into Phil's embrace. He whimpered more as more lightning came. Phil squeezed Dan tighter, comforting Dan as best as he could. "Dan, it's okay. I'm here." Phil whispered into Dan's hair, Dan nodding in response. "Thank you Phil." Dan mumbled in Phil's shirt, Phil's smiling at his adorable best friend. "Of course. But why didn't you tell me you were afraid of storms?" Phil asked sweetly, making Dan blush. "I didn't want you to laugh at me or make fun of me." Dan replied, only to hear the older male let out a laugh. "Dan, I wouldn't make fun of you for something your scared of, you can't help it." Phil answered, using his index finger to lift up Dan's head. "Thank you." Dan said, the blush growing deeper on his face. "Let's get to sleep." Phil said, Dan nodding in response. Both men curled up on Dan's bed, Phil's arms wrapped around Dan's waist, as Dan did the same back. Another shock of lighting made Dan snuggle deeper into Phil's embrace, Phil holding him closer as well.  "Night Dan, love you." Phil whispered, closing his eyes, not realizing what he had just said. "Night Phil, I love you too." Dan whispered back, closing his eyes as well, knowing what he said before drowning into a deep slumber.
