"Whatever happens just remember that mommy loves you, okay?" my mom said with watery eyes. "Okay mommy, but where are you going." I asked my mother while clinging onto her for dear life. "Mommy has things to do sweetie but, I promise that I'll be back." My mother said while bending down to my eye level. "Now I want you to go inside with your brother and don't come out okay?" she said. I nodded my head slowly, and turned around and walked to my big brother, Ian. He grabbed my hand while my mother waved, not knowing that this was going to be her final goodbye. My brother sucked his teeth in annoyance because, we both knew what she was going to do, and as she drove away from our apartment I watched from a distance until I couldn't see the cherry red impala anymore. I didn't know that, that was gonna be the last time I saw her.
