Adrian

He sensed the eyes on him before he saw that boy. It felt like fire was burning into the side of his head. Adrian tried to ignore the feeling but it grew and grew till it felt like he had a bell ringing in his head.

When he turns to face the person who was staring at him. He was caught by surprise to find the person was that boy that watched him this morning. 'Shit,' Adrian thought. The eyes on the boy was accusing and questioning. Watching Adrian with a careful look.

Quickly, Adrian slips away in the crowd. He is careful to not catch the attention of anybody.

He hides behind a minivan that was a few feet away. His heart was pounding from the fear of being caught. "That boy . . . He recognized me," Adrian said to himself. Looking through the window of the car, Adrian watches the crowd. Surveying the people and looking for that boy.

There he was. Tall but thin. Dark hair with pale skin. Adrian didn't realize it until now, but the boy was very attractive. Even from a distance, Adrian could see some nice features. Those eyes could see through anyone. His skin looked soft. His lips looked plump to touch.

Adrian couldn't help but stare at the boy's face. He has never seen someone so attractive. Excitement built up inside of him as he continued to watch the boy.

The boy looked around the crowd, trying to find Adrian. It took Adrian all he had not to just run up to the boy and show him he was there. He didn't understand why he was feeling this way. Sure the boy was quite handsome looking, but it doesn't mean he deserved Adrian's attention. The ones who had Adrian's attention were the ones who needed to be killed.

He watches as the boy gave up on his search and walked away. It felt as if his heart was being pulled away by the boy.

'What is this feeling,' Adrian thought.

Cody

There was no sign of the man anywhere. It irked Cody as he searched for the familiar red head. 'How does a person just disappear like that?!' Cody thought angrily. His eyes scan over the crowd. Careful not to miss a single detail in any person.

Cody runs to the end of the sidewalk and looks around. If he was certain, the man might've hidden somewhere. Maybe where no one would find him. He looks at the houses and cars that were close to him. No one stood out to him. He didn't even see a sign of red hair.

He finally gives up and starts walking back to his house. Some people in the crowd were leaving and heading back to their own houses. Cody looks at the news crew and saw that they were busy reporting. It pissed him off that they were taking advantage of the crime. Not only were they reporting the news, they were using it to get good ratings.

"Oh, excuse me, sir!" called out the newscaster lady.

Cody turns around to see her running toward him. Her business skirt was riding up to her upper thigh, her hair bounced like springs, and her smile seemed to change to a flirtatious one.

"May I help you?" Cody kept his calm and charming tone. Learning to be calm and nice in situations.

"Do you live in this neighborhood? Do you happen to know who the victim is?" she asks, shoving a microphone in Cody's face. At once, Cody's calm demeanor changed to a glare. "I'm not answering questions. Ever heard of privacy?" he snapped.

The smile on the woman's face changed to a frown. "So you're confirming you did know the victim?" she countered.

"Ain't this harassment?" Cody asked coldly before walking passed the woman and the cameraman.

He walked briskly down the sidewalk. Hoping to shake the feeling of being watching. Probably by that news woman.

Sarah wasn't that far ahead of him. She was standing in the middle of the sidewalk, waiting for Cody. Her cheeks were glistening from her tears. The redness in her face was brighter than any red he has seen. Cody has never seen his foster mother cry so much in the years he's known her.

"Sarah, I asked you to go home." Cody said almost softly. He rests a hand on her shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "You shouldn't be here." he said. "One of my friends was murdered. I need to be here." Sarah said insistently.

'Just like me five years ago.' Cody thought. He takes a deep breath and nods. "I know how you feel, Sarah. Losing someone close to you. But being too close is much more damaging." he said.

It seemed like he got to her. She looked back at the scene before she looks back at Cody and nods. "I'm sorry, Cody. You're right, I shouldn't be anywhere near this place." Sarah said.

Giving her an encouraging smile, Cody hugs Sarah tightly. "Lets head home and get something to eat." he said. "Okay." Sarah agreed. Wrapping his left arm around her shoulders, Cody leads Sarah back to the house. Though he could still feel eyes on him as they walked away. He looks over his shoulder, and for a second thought he saw a flash of red.
