Adrian
Jealousy and anger bubbled in his veins at the sight before him. Utter revulsion was in his eyes though he kept a straight face. His lip curled upward in a snarl.
He risked his life by returning to the neighborhood, climbing up the side of Cody's house to deliver the news of his next target's ambitions. Only to find his boy being straddled by some harlot.
They didn't notice him at the window or when he slipped in. They were too busy staring into each other's eyes. (Ugh.) Their lips were so close to touching that he had to stop them immediately.
"Well ain't this something?" he said darkly, situating himself on the windowsill. His knife was held tightly in his hand that could be viewed by the two.
Cody and the bitch turned their heads and saw Adrian sitting there. Horror was in Cody's eyes while confusion yet fear was in the girl's. You should be afraid, bitch, Adrian thought. He smiles at the two as if they were old friends. "I come to deliver some news, Winters. But I guess your occupied." The last word was spoken bitterly.
Quickly, Cody and the girl got up and brush themselves off. Adrian wanted to shove the two away but kept still. He wasn't here to kill anyone.
Yet . . .
"What the hell are you doing here? I told you I would call the cops if you came anywhere near this place!" Cody snapped vivaciously. Anger was clear on his face. But it soon changed when he realizes something. "How do you know my last name?" he demanded quite frightened.
The girl exchanges glances at Adrian and Cody. She tried to tell what was going on, clearly not knowing who Adrian was.
"How I know is not why I'm here. I'm here because you have a target on your head." Adrian said as he takes out the wallet he stole. He jumps off the sill and steps toward Cody.
Noticing the tension in his bones and stillness in his stance, Adrian steps back a step. "Do you know this man?" he asked as he flips open the wallet. He went through the man's wallet. (And may have stolen the three hundred dollars inside.) There wasn't anything specific that he could find without looking the guy up. But he was busy hurrying to Cody to look.
Cody looked at the wallet and realization appeared on his face. He snatches the wallet from Adrian's grasp and views it closer. "Where did you get this?" he demanded incredulously. "This man was talking on the phone about you. Said something about 'he's going to get it' and 'his brother should've given me the money'." Adrian puts air quotes on what the man said.
"Is he talking about your uncle?" the girl asked. To be honest, Adrian forgot she was there. "I think he is." Cody said. He stares at the ID of the man with distaste. "I knew he was no good." he said angrily.
"Back up a second. This man is your uncle?" Adrian asked, snatching the wallet back to view the man's face on the ID. "And I thought my life was messed up." he said once he notices the resemblance in the picture and Cody. Then he tosses it back to Cody. "So I have to kill your uncle? That'll be something." Adrian said casually.
"Kill?!" Michaela said in a squeaky voice. Her voice made Adrian cringe. "God, what are you? A mouse?" he asked annoyed. "Stop it, Adrian. I'm thankful for you informing me about Michael, but now I want you to leave." Cody ordered. He starts to go through the wallet with a sour look. Boy, did Adrian wish to change the look on Cody's face. (Hopefully into a pleasure-filled one.)
Frowning, Adrian says,"I'm here to protect you. I ain't leaving." He crosses his arms and cocks out his hip like a girl. Cody looked about ready to explode as he gave Adrian the stink eye.
