Upon the layers of different sands,
We lay there, holding hands.
Underneath the shining stars,
Long forgotten about the past wars.
Probably from dusk to dawn we lay there, I think,
Watching the beautiful crimson coloured sun sink.
We sat ourselves down on the fine sand, during the dawn,
And listened to each other's talks with mere fawn.
During the dusk, we took a long walk on the ocean dock,
And I observed, shocked that there wasn't any flock.
It seemed almost surreal to be,
How sweet and kind he was to me.
With his hand in mine,
I couldn't think of anything but to know how to be fine.
His face, I don't know how long I admired,
Oh how it was lurid, that I wasn't even tired.
I couldn't fathom my feelings for him,
Although I know, my love for him will never be dim.
His body clad in a jean short and white shirt,
On his clothes, here and there, specks of dirt.
When the night dawned upon us,
I was surprised he wasn't in the slightest of a cuss.
As the water splashed against the shore,
I was surprised there wasn't any pour.
Now, we lay there together,
Unfazed by the cold and harsh weather,
Gazing up at the beautiful sky,
Cannot describe how beautiful the scene was, oh my!
And as I lay my head in his chest,
Thinking of what I had done to receive this crest.
As I closed my eyes and breathed in his scent,
I thought, how could someone be so much of a gent.
-r.f.I thought rhyming words would make the poem sound a bit more.... Idk good to read? Eh! Plz vote and comment 😘
