"Hey buggy, how are you feeling?" I smiled softly as your eyes fluttered open.

"Good. Is my leg broken?" You stretched your arms above your head, tangling your IV with your oxygen.

Gently, I unwrapped the two cords. "Yeah baby, it is. They put you to sleep so they could cast it because you were in a lot of pain. Callie waited to put colour on it so you could choose."

Your smile warmed my heart. "Purple. Where's Arizona? I have to tell her I'm sorry. I didn't mean that I hated her. She's very nice."

"I'm right here." A voice from the doorway said.

You looked at her. "I'm really sorry Arizona. I know you didn't do anything wrong. You didn't give me OI. Do you forgive me?"

She smiled her super smile at you. "I definitely forgive you, Harriet. You're like, my favourite person ever! Will this make you feel better?" She pulled her arms from behind her back and revealed a fluffy white teddy bear and a bundle of lollipops. Alex came in holding a few balloons.

"You're awesome!" You cried, smiling brightly. "Thank you!"

Your face fell, momentarily wincing in pain.

"Does it hurt?" Alex asked, coming over to the bed.

You nodded. "I'm sorry I ruined Thanksgiving dinner. We didn't even finish. I didn't have any turkey!"

Dr. Karev fiddled with the pain medication. "Are you kidding? You didn't ruin it! What about a turkey sandwich from the cafeteria? Will that make it better?"

"Not really. But I like turkey sandwiches and apple juice and green jello." You hinted with a smirk, pushing the curls from out of your eyesight.

"One turkey sandwich, apple juice and green jello coming up."

Arizona followed Karev out of the room. You looked down at your casted leg and wiggled your toes. You pulled up the sheets to your neck, shivering as you moved one toe at a time.

"Cold?" A voice asked from the doorway. Jackson. "I can fix that."

He entered the room cautiously, like it were a bomb that was about to be set off. He carried your pink fleece blanket and a bundle of balloons in one arm and "tingy" in the other. Tingy was your blanket that you'd had since you were born, and it'd stuck by your side for every vacation, doctors appointment and break you had.

"Mommy," you said in awe, "He brought me tingy."

"Yes, I see." I smiled through gritted  teeth. I had hidden it away to see if you could make it a few days without it. Turns out you could, up until now.

"What?" Your father mouthed to me, handing it to you.

"Hall. Now." I mouthed back and turned to face you. "Here's the remote. Daddy and I'll be right back."

I guided him out of your room and slid the door shut. "Are you freaking kidding me?" Were the first words that escaped my lips.

"Oh, what now April?" He exploded, crossing his arms. "I can't do anything right to please you, can I?"

"Shut up! You started all of this! You did! You got the lawyer and you started this whole fight! It upset Harriet and you know where she ended up? In the hospital, on account of you."

His face went from the look of shock, to anger, to complete disgust. And then he did something I wasn't expecting.

He kissed me.
