I packed mine and Miguel's brief and laptop bags and put everything in order in his office, locking away important documents and locking the office door behind me. I rushed out to be met by three guards that always travelled with me.
"Miss, your driver is waiting outside like you requested." One of the guards informed me and pushed his hands to my direction, offering to carry my bags for me. I knew better than to decline. Apparently it was their job to make sure my life was as easy as it could get, their boss's command.
I only carried my purse as we left the building, Jackson was parked outside the building, leaning against the car, he only moved when he heard my heels click against the marble floor.
"Molly." He smiled and I smiled back, as I slid behind the car, with the bags following in behind me.
We had developed a friendship because of his wife, Leanda. It was sort of amazing how we only met when I started working for Lobos but when I was working at the diner I had only heard of him. But working for Miguel meant that you may spend a couple of days by his side which explains a lot, and Jackson was Miguel's most trusted driver, hence he was assigned to me now.
The fact that Miguel only wanted what's only the best for me, made me smile, but that smile soon faded off. He wanted what was best for me, but I kept a huge and important piece of information from him. A piece of information that could help him find who he is, and what to do next.
Literally I felt bad, but I was going to fix things, soon as I find him.
I've been trying to contact him with no luck. His phone, the one I had the number to was off, Lord knows he must have switched it off, and took another one, since he had millions of phones.
I also tried calling Nicholas with the same result.
Sooner than later we had pulled up to the house, and I bid farewell to Jackson and rushed to the house, leaving the bags in the car.
Goal was to find Miguel and tell him what I had found out.
I bumped into aunty on her way out.
She was dressed in a lovely, long red summer dress, paired with floral wedges and a matching Sun hat. She looked so gorgeous. Looking younger than she really was.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"To the mall. Jackson is taking me. I have to get his wife a gift you know? Cannot go to a party empty handed." She smiled at me. Party? Oh!
"You know about the party?" I asked yet again.
"Molly? Leanda and I have made great acquaintances over the past year's, of course I know about the party and I twisted Miguel's arm into letting you go, since you oh so dramatically claimed he won't let you." She rolled her eyes, but the smile on her face and the love in her eyes never fading away.
"He said yes?"I questioned, disbelief dripping off my tongue.
Aunty nodded and kissed my cheeks, telling me she doesn't want to get back home late. It was around thirty minutes after three in the afternoon.
I nodded and walked into the house. It was quiet, no Caroline in the kitchen, nor the other maids wandering by cleaning or doing something. I couldn't literally hear a pin drop in the silence, and I grew weary.
I walked up the stairs straight to Lobos's office and of course I found him. But the way his posture was, I grew scared.
"Lobos..." I called out to him.
He was starring out his window, with a drink in his hand. He flat out ignored me, but I didn't blame him. He had every right to be mad at me.
"Look, I'm sorry." I said, walking further into the room. "But you are wrong I care about you Miguel." I pleaded, my voice failed me.
