Chapter 48/ The Epilogue

Omniscient P.O.V

"Where are you going?" Charlotte asked her niece, as she saw her coming from her bedroom in a lovely home Miguel had purchsed for her, for them away from danger as Charlotte requested. Kimberly was dressed in a white sun dress, with matching sandals, hand bag over her shoulder. She looked ready to hit the road.

"I need some air, we need some air." She told her. "Miguel said he is taking me out for lunch, in this little restaurant that is hidden from the prying eyes, so worry not." She smiled.

Charlotte who had just finished baking chocmint muffins was sceptical about allowing Kimberly to leave the house. Even though there seemed to be no danger coming their way it was fine a couple of months ago not now. Not in her state.

Charlotte finally got to leave Miguel's house with Kimberly but it was only after the three sat down and discussed the implications of the situation. Charlotte agreed that the two loved one another and Kimberly threatened that if she didn't start seeing things in her way, she will choose Miguel over her and never even attempt to visit her.

Charlotte knew this would happen as Kimberly loved Miguel furiously,  so they agreed that Kimberly would move in with Charlotte only and only if there was danger brewing and Miguel couldn't handle the situation.

That hadn't happened in a while. Miguel still kept running best of both worlds, with Kimberly by his side and Nicholas focused on the dangerous part of their lives, Vanessa had quit her job and joined forces with Nick who proposed marriage to her and were happy together. Kimberly had a friend who understood the dangers of the life they were engaged in, and together they tried to see the light in it.

Kimberly only moved in with her aunt when she was starting to show. Her belly was growing almost every week and if Miguel's enemies caught a whiff of him bringing a child in this world, they will harm Kimberly and the unborn child just to get to him.

"Baby cakes." Nicholas greeted Kimberly as he was the one picking her up from the house. Kimberly smiled cheerfully and entered the car to be welcomed by smell of hot buffalo wings. "Nicky!" She grinned and thanked Nick for being considerate.

"It's like you knew." She spoke while eating. The cravings that hit her were so real, it was incredible. She was gaining weight like crazy and Miguel was happy. He loved to watch her eat, heart swimming in happiness as he worshipped the ground she walked on, thanking her for carrying his seed.

"Man the house is lonely without you." Nicholas commented. "Vanessa is bored too."

Kimberly rolled her eyes. Nicholas as always, instead of staying at his house, still stayed with Miguel, Vanessa and all. Their bond was very much unbreakable, the only time you would find the other one at his house was if they fought and had a huge disagreement.

The drive to the restaurant Miguel told her about was short, it wasn't exactly far from the house. Nick helped Kimberly out and led her to the back, where there area was nicely  decorated. She was surprised to see her aunt there, Vanessa , Caroline and Donovan. Miguel was nowhere in sight.

Their little family were sitting around a table. "Aunty, but I left you at the house? What's happening?" Kimberly asked, hugging Vanessa, soon enough Jacky and her aunt Leanda walked in, dressed in their Sun dresses.

It was perfectly reserved and decorated, Kimberly was confused. Miguel was nowhere in sight. "I was invited for lunch by Caroline, I am surprised to see you." Her aunt said, taking a sip of her champagne.

On cue, Miguel walked in, looking as breath taking as ever. As he walked up to his princess, who was heavily pregnant, music played softly around them.
