Malsa stomped her foot and glared at the tiger-like dragon in front of her. Thrace laughed and shook his head.
"How could you make me do that?" Malsa screeched.
"Hush, dear one. You shall wake the queen." Thrace replied coolly, flicking his tail to Blaze who was sleeping in their nest.
Blaze had not known of Malsa's presence in the castle.
"Oh, why not. She should know I am here."
"No she shouldn't. I would advise you that if you don't want to get killed, you shouldn't wake her."
"Fine, but what are you going to tell her when she wakes up and smells me in here?"
"I will mask the scent."
"So you are hiding me from your mate, just like I am another lover?"
"Yes. She shouldn't know about you. she despises all of Infinity."
"What is the problem between Death and Infinity? What happened?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Then do not make a big deal about it. If you do not want to talk about it, then why do you always bring it up?"
"It's complicated."
"Just talk about it, I am already on your side."
"No.You aren't going to tell me what to do. I will not tolerate this. I tore up one wing. I can break off the other if I have to."
"I am very sorry, I did not mean to upset you."
"Well, sweetheart, you have. Leave me."
"Then I will just leave till mid-sun."
"That will be fine."
Malsa stood, trying to keep quiet. She didn't want to wake the queen. Malsa headed towards the stone doors slowly and pushed them open with her head. The halls were still dark and they held death in them. She could smell it.
I can't believe I did that to Palkadon. Am I really turning evil? Malsa asked herself.
She remembered how she had stood on Palkadon's fractured back. She remembered how he had suddenly gone deaf. She remembered his wail in agony and his growls in astonishment as she had stepped out of the darkness. Thrace had made it look as if she was evil. Her eyes had not gone red as his had. Palkadon had looked at her as if she was a stranger, much less a sister. Thrace was making her evil, and she liked it. At the same time as feeling bad for her brother, Malsa felt power and seeing her brother weak and helpless made her feel mad with hate for him. He had shown some kind of kindness to her but he had never treated her how she deserved.
Malsa ran through the garden with great speed feeling the air through her scales. Then she remembered the chick. Malsa ran as fast as she could trying to get to the chick. Once Malsa found the chick she fell next to it with a slight thud. The chick squealed in delight and nuzzled Malsa. Malsa shrugged the chick off and took it's neck in her jaws. The chick hung limp, as chicks do when they are carried, and slept. Malsa rolled her eyes and ran down to the palace gate. The twisted metal rings that stood inside the frame gleamed and shimmered in the morning sun. Malsa wondered if Blaze had awakened. She probably had. Malsa was glad that she was far enough away not to be seen by the queen. If Blaze had seen her, Thrace would kill her for sure. The chick stopped it's sleep and squirmed as Malsa fell on her face. She had no idea where Nightclaw was, but she would use a roar to find him. She put the wriggling chick down and lifted her head. Malsa roared for Nightclaw and he answered pretty closely to her. Malsa turned around and found a cave indented in the side of Mount Excel, the second largest mountain in Kilo. The first largest mountain was Mount Dark in Infinity. Malsa used to live near there. Malsa picked up the chick and headed towards the cave. Nightclaw stood near the mouth of the cave with the small chick hiding behind him.
