2 years later ...

Our plan, to say, was very successful.

Thanks to Conney and her powers, we managed to escape without a hitch. Since she knew where they were and what they were thinking, we knew where to go and how to hide.

Ever since we escaped, I've been getting pains in my chest every month for a few hours and sometimes it hurts so much that we have to stop and wait until it passes. My wolf whimpers inside of me and in the beginning it would go the opposite way of where we were going once in a while to which Conney had to literally hold me down.

What can I say? My wolf has a mind of its own.

But now, I've gotten use to not being near Tate. Now, I feel free to do what I want and I've gotten stronger as the days go by. Conney has been training me and all the running and fighting we've done has really helped me grow in height and in strength.

I really don't know where we are most of the times so I'm not sure whether we're farther away from Tate's territory or we could be right next to it. Which is why I have Conney to figure that out.

I don't know what I would do without Conney, she's such a great help and a great friend for putting up with me through these two years.

My wolf still misses Tate sometimes, but it's not as strong as before. I've learned to be independent and strong. I don't need a mate to hold me down right now, all I need is my freedom and Conney.

-

"Conney?" I ask her from behind a tree as I change into my clothes.

"Yeah?" She speaks up from her spot near the river where I saved that pup. I'll always know where this spot was. I had saved a kid's life. And got accepted to a pack because of it.

"When are you going to find your mate?"

"Oh...I don't know."

I furrow my eyebrows and step out with my bag over my shoulder, "You don't know? But can't you see the future?"

"Yeah, but I can't see when I'll meet my mate. When meeting you're mate, it's supposed to be like fate so I cant even see when I'll meet my mate or when anyone else will."

"So....you don't know? But do Seers even have mates? Because I read that Seers normally don't have mates."

She sighs, "Yeah that is true."

I frown and bite my lip, "Hey...I mean....having a mate isn't as good as it seems. I mean, look what happened with me and Tate," a sharp pain shoots through my chest and I wince, "he was so bossy and he acted like he controlled me. He even locked me in a cell!"

I wince once again when he comes to mind and mentally scold myself for even thinking about him.

"Yeah, but having someone who loves you and belongs to you and only you feels pretty good. Also the process of marking each other, mating, and having pups is something I would want to experience."

"That is true...." Tate, "Oh shit." I hiss and lay a hand on my chest as if it'll get any better if I do.

"Accalia? Are you okay?" She sighs, "Were you thinking about him again?"

I nod and a tear slips down my cheek, "I can't help it Conney. He just finds his way into my mind and I can't help but miss him sometimes. Fuck..." I breath in and out slowly.

Her eyes brighten. When her eyes get back to normal she pauses before getting up, "We need to go Accalia. Come on." She helps me up and grabs my bag, slinging it on her shoulder and helping me speed walk.

"Why what happen -" I gasp as a sharp pain shoots through my stomach. I collapse onto the ground and clutch my stomach, "It hurts!" I cry.

"Accalia! Oh god. We need to go." She ushers and tries to help me up, but my stomach is protesting, "Shit."

"It's never hurt this bad Conney. What's happening?" My chest pounds as Tate flashes through my mind. Not exactly Tate, but his wolf. I can see him running through the woods and I furrow my eyebrows, "Conney." I whisper.

She crouches down next to me, "What? What is it?"

"I...I can see him - ah!" I hiss, "I can see him running through the woods....h-how..?"

She widens her eyes as we hear heavy paws and picks me up, "We need to go! They're coming Accalia."

"I'm trying, but something's not letting me."

Her eyes brighten, "He's coming Accalia. Tate, he's coming."

I see of flash of him running and I shake my head, the pain going away slowly. I get up, "Let's go."

She nods and we both glance at each other before we start running. We jump and in the process, change into our wolves.

"I'm not going back to you." I declare.

"Let's see about that." I hear a familiar voice.

That encourages me to run faster than I ever had before.
