I look behind me and can faintly see Tate's wolf and his guards running after us and I look at Conney before nodding my head. We stand in front of trees before kicking them, causing them to fall over and hit some of the guards.
We instantly continue running and I can't help but feel alive. This is pretty awesome now that I have more strength and agility.
"Conney how do we outrun them?"
"I don't think we can."
I growl, "I'm gonna try something. Just follow my lead."
I look back and see them about 7 feet away, finding the length perfect I take a sharp turn before taking off running once again, Conney meeting up with me.
"Good try, sweetheart." I hear his voice and when I figure out what he means, it's too late.
I get tackled and my back forcefully hits the ground. Once my vision clears, I see Tate on top of me, his eyes glowing.
