Katie's POV-

It was around 5 o'clock when I decided I should probably start getting ready. It was surprisingly kinda chilly outside so I decided to wear a pair of light ripped skinny jeans and a black lose fit tank top with a red cardigan. I wasn't really sure where we were going so I didn't want to get super dressed up and I honestly wasn't in the mood. I didn't really wanna go I just want to relax for a while, I think its what best for now.

But I can't say no, I can tell Austins excited so I'll put on my best smile for him.

"What are you doing tonight?" Sarah said coming into my room.

"I have no idea Austin has something planned." I said brushing out my hair.

"He likes you, you know." She said sitting next to me.

"No he doesn't, he can find someone so much better. He deserves better." I explained to her. "But I think you should know me and Josh broke up"

"What why? I'm sorry" she said patting my back.

"No I'm fine and long story. I'll explain later." I told her.

"I have to meet Austin at the pier in 15 minutes so I'm gonna start walking, I'll see you later tonight love ya." I told Sarah grabbing my phone and purse.

"Don't have to much fun crazy kids." She said to me.

"Whatever." I said walking out the door.

"Oh and by the way, you look great." She said smiling at me.

That really meant a lot coming from her because she is literally flawless. Everything about her was perfect.

Walking down to the pier was really peaceful. I'm just trying to get myself in a good mood for Austin.

Once I got to the pier I couldn't see Austin or his car anywhere. I decided to sit on the bench at wait for him. I check my phone to pass time. I could barely even get on twitter anymore because my mentions were flooded with Austins fan asked millions of questions. I mean I don't really mind they're very protective sometimes which kind of scares me.

"Guess who?" I hear someone cover my eyes and stand me up from behind. The voice was deep and raspy. It was obviously Austin but I guess I'll play his game.

"Hm I wonder" I said turning around and seeing Austin standing there in a black dress shirt and Kakis. He looked so good.

"How was your day?" He said putting his arms around me giving me a hug.

"It was good. Uneventful. How was rehearsals?" I asked him as we walked to his car.

"Good." He told me.

Austin got out of the car and opened my door for me before I even unbuckled it was the little things that made me smile.

"Follow me," he said grabbing my hand and helping me out of the car.

"Austin can you please tell me what's going on?" I said stopping in place on the pavement.

"Just come on, you'll love it." He said grabbing my hand.

"I'm not moving from this spot until you tell me."

"Oh really now?" He walking over and picked me up off of the ground onto his shoulder.

"AUSTIN PUT ME DOWN NOW IM NOT EVEN KIDDING" I said kicking and punching while he laughed at me. I didn't find this funny at all. I just want to go home.

The paddle boat was dark brown with a couple unlit candles around the sides. I've never actually been on a real date. I mean yeah I've dated guys but never actually been taken out on a date. Was this even a date or was Austin just doing all of this because he feels sorry for me. If thats the case then I dont want to hang out with him. I don't just wanna be some charity case. Or does he really care about me?
