Chapter 5

"Katie."

"Katie."

I feel someone shaking me back and forth.

"Katie!"

I peek one eye open and see Sarah.

"Oh good you're finally awake." Sarah said smiling.

I rub my eyes, sit up, and look over at the alarm clock and see it was 9:00 am.

"Sarah why are we up this early?" I ask laying back down.

"Because we have a lot to do today. Today's the big show." She said excited.

I groan. "Alright I'll get up."

I get up and go to take a shower. I get out and put on a simple outfit. I just had on a black pair of high-waisted shorts, a lace top, and some boots, nothing too special. My hair was straightened and I had a little bit of makeup on.

Sarah on the other hand looked beautiful like always.

"Does this look okay?" She said rubbing her shirt.

"Yes! I love it!" I said with a grin.

"Where's Alex?" I ask changing the subject.

"He went with Austin to rehearsals."

"Oh okay." I reply.

"Then if he's already there, then why are we up so early?" I said confused.

"Cause I have a surprise for you." She said smiling and looking away.

"A surprise?" Tell me what is-"

"Just get your shoes on and get in the car." She said laughing.

I did as she said and we were off.

"Wanna listen to some music?" She said turning up the radio.

"Of course!" I said.

She squealed. "This is one of my favorite songs!"

It was The Way by Ariana Grande. We both were big fans of hers.

"Cause I love the way you make me feel." We both sing.

Before the song was over we were already here. It was a shopping complex with many stores and places so I couldn't tell which place we we're going to.

"Okay get out of the car, then close your eyes." She said while opening her car door.

I get out and close my eyes.

"Okay this way." She said as she guided me.

"Okay we're here! You can open!" She let go.

I open my eyes and see we are in front of a nail salon.

"Ta-Da!" She screams.

A big smile was on my face. "Aw Sarah I haven't got my nails done in forever." I run over and give her a hug. "You're the best cousin/bestfriend ever!"

"I know." She said blushing.

We walk in a there was only one person getting their nails done. Good thing Sarah picked to go early.

"Hello Ladies! Welcome!" I heard a lady say.

"Hi! We are here to get manicures and pedicures!" Sarah said to the woman.

"Okay, right this way." She said leading us to these chairs.

"Ready?" Another lady said to me.

"Yep!" I said with a smile.

Before I knew my manicure was over and Sarah's was almost done. I walk over and sit in one of the pedicure chairs. I couldn't remember the last time I had one. Right when mine was about to start, Sarah walks over into the chair next to me.

"What do you think?" She said putting her nails in front of me.

"Love them! What about mine?" I said doing the same thing.

"Beautiful!"

After we got our pedicures and Sarah paid we walk out.

We did a little bit of shopping and by the time we were done it was 1 o'clock.

We decide to head back to Alex's house. No one was there but us. I assumed Austin's mom was with Austin and Alex.

"So Sarah.. Since we have time lets talk about you and Alex." I smile at her.

"We're great, he's perfect. I didn't know someone could make me so happy." She chuckled.

"Aw, that's cute." I smiled looking over at her.

Sarah & I just relaxed until it became time for the show.

We arrive at the arena and there are screaming girls everywhere.

"Austin we love you," "Austin you're my world," I heard them all scream.

I could even hear girls look over at me and say "Isn't that the girl who hung out with Austin?"

When they saw Sarah, a bunch of people ran up to her asking for pictures and for her to follow them on twitter.

I didn't know they would react that way towards Sarah, she's just Alex's girlfriend. But I thought it was kind of cute.

After Sarah took pictures with everyone, and talked to everyone, we headed to our seats. We sat near the side of the stage. There had to be more than 1,000 girls here.

The lights dim down and I see a dj go to his dj booth on stage.

"EVERRRRRRYBOOOOOODY HOW YOU DOING TONIGHT? IM GONNA PLAY A FEW SONGS TO PUMP YOU UP, I BETTER SEE YOU JUMPING" he yelled.

He played the first song and I immediately looked over at Sarah, this was our song. It was "I Love It." We start jumping up and down just like everyone else in the building. Then the next couple songs came on and everyone was still jumping up and down having a good time.

"ALRIGHT GUYS ARE YOU READYYYY?!?!?" He yelled again.

By now, every girl in the section we were sitting in was crying. I've never heard his music just his name, but by the behavior of the girls, he meant something to them.

"HERE HE IS....." He paused, "AUSTIN MAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOONE!!!!!" I see a boy run on stage. I couldn't really see though because the lighting and we were like crooked from the stage. It was hard to explain.

"Hey hey baby you've been on my mind," I heard him sing, " I knew you for a long time."

I just wanted to hug the girls next to me, they were just so cute with the tears and how they were singing along.

"Who wants to be my U girl?" He said. I swear I had never heard so much screaming just from one question. I saw a girl walk on stage and sit in a stool. He starts to sing to her and her tears poor. You could tell he really truly meant something to her, and she was really happy. It was so cute seeing that.


Like I said, I couldn't really see Auatin, but I could see him look over at me and Sarah, me and Austin had never met before. He just looked for a couple minutes and then started to sing some more until it was the end if the show.

After the show, me and Sarah head backstage to see Alex and Austin.

*Austin's P.O.V*

It was after the show and I was so happy. I loved my Mahomies more than anything and seeing them happy and hearing them sing along, it meant a lot to me.

But I couldn't stop thinking about what I saw. It looked like her. The one I couldn't stop thinking about, the one from the hospital, with the beautiful eyes, and the gorgeous smile. But there was no way it could be her. How? What would she be doing at my show? In the hospital she didn't know who I was, so how would she be here? And why would she be with Sarah?

A million questions wouldn't stop running through my mind. The image was stuck in my brain. I was trying not to think about it because then I would get my hopes up. Even if it was her, what if she doesn't want me? I just had to leave it alone.

"Great show Austin!" Alex said walking over to me.

"Thanks AC." I said looking at the ground.

"Everything alright with you?" You could tell by his tone he was concerned.

"Yeah everything's alright bro." I lift my head up and smile.

"Hey Sarah and her cousin are coming backstage at any moment now. I don't know if you met her last night or not, when me and Sarah went on our date."

"Wait, you and Sarah went on a date last night? I must have been asleep. I went I bed real early. So no, I guess I didn't meet her." I reply sounding confused.

"Actually here they come now!" He said looking over at the door.

There I saw Sarah enter and Alex put a big smile on his face. Then I saw another girl walk in. Not just any girl. It was her, the one I wanted to find. I felt butterflies in my stomach as she walked closer and closer. It was the gorgeous smile I remember and the beautiful eyes. I couldn't believe it. It was her.
