Li just wants to talk to people, and does one step at a time. Facing her greatest fear Li walks forward one step at a time. With a little help from a senior named Ryan. And one step at a time the feelings grow.
I - I - I got a big fat F. Screamed Li inside her head. And its in Latin. Okay don't freak Li just think if you get it up to at least a C you should be okay... but if I don't , I'll get expelled , kick out the house, work 10 jobs and then die of stress. Wait did the last parts needed to be added with me being expelled?....
"LI! GET DOWN HERE NOW!" yells mom from downstairs.
Li looks down the stairs and her blood drained from her face as she thought " I am so died".
She quietly walked downstairs and peeked into the living room to see her moms smiling face.
Okay? Not what I expected. thought Li.
"Sweety, I saw your grades but no worries I've got a great plan." says mom.
"Um okay, uh what is it?" asks Li.
"Your gonna have a tutor." smiles her mom.
".....Okay.."
"Now tomorrow is Monday right?"
"Yes ma, it is."
"Well then after school go to the library all the way down stairs to the teen section."
"Okay... I'll go to sleep now."
"Night Li the tiger"
As Li went to her room to change and go to sleep she thought to herself. Its been some time since mom called me Li the tiger, she usually said that to give me courage. Or her definition she means "Li the ferocious , brave or have courage." Li went under her covers and closed her eyes and her mind went blank and her night was a dreamless night.
Next day a Monday Li woke and got ready for school. Her normal routine was wash face, eat, and get ready for school. She ran out the door yelling bye over her shoulder as she sprinted to catch her brother for a ride to school.
The school went mostly like this math, study hall, grammar, lunch and Latin. She looked at the clock wondering when she can leave and see her tutor.
Maybe he's one of the nerds in the school.. With thick square glasses, a tie, neat appearance, short hair and books they don't let go or maybe its a girl. thinks Li. It was her last class , History. She looked out at the trees and birds from the window counting down her minutes in class, when someone shook her shoulder.
As Li looked at the owner of this hand she heard her say.
"Hey lets go we have cleaning today" says Lilly while smiling.
" Uh oh yeah..." said Li but then she started thinking. I'll be late for my tutor session.
Lilly started pulling her and they went to clean the grade school. After she was done cleaning Li looked at the clock and saw it was 5 p.m. Phew done with cleaning... You think the person will still be there? No way... I should check anyway.
So Li ran all the way to the library and down the stairs to the teen section, as she got through the door she leaned against the door frame catching her breath.
" I- I-I'm pant sorry if I kept you for waiting for long."
"No its okay I had nothing better to do."
The voice stopped Li from trying to catch her breath and made her look up. Her eyes widen with surprise as she looked at her tutor for Latin.
