"Um hi, uh so you are my tutor?" Asks Li. "Oh wait I I didn't mean that in a bad way it's just.., I'm-"
"Surprised?" Says Ryan.
Looking down while giving feeble laugh Li says.
"Yea, yeah I was surprised."
"May I asked why?"
"Um well I thought first no one in the senior class would and second my mom got one of those book guys that are smart ...in Latin.."
"So bookworms?"
"Yea I guess but there's nothing wrong with being a bookworm I'm one to!"
Ryan laughs, "Well bookworm I am your Latin tutor. Sorry I'm not one of your fellow people of readers."
"Eh there's nothing wrong with not being a bookworm." Li says while sitting down.
"Let's get started then." Says Ryan.
They go through the pronunciation of the alphabets and the declensions.
After the lesson Li went to find some books to read. When Ryan came up behind her.
"Any good books?" Asks Ryan.
"Hmm yeah." Says Li in deep thought.
'Buzz buzz'
Li's phone started buzzing with a text message. Li checks it and sees it's her mom.
Mom: Are u done wth ur tutor lessons? Im outside the library.
Li thinks I gotta tell mom what wth means.
"Um well, I gotta go so bye." Says Li. "Thanks for the lesson today."
"No problem see you Friday?" Asks Ryan.
"Yup."
"Well ok bye."
With that Ryan walks away while Li stares at the book she picked at a whim. "Awkward" nice book title, just what I'm feeling. Li then goes to check out the book. She walks down to the car and gets in.
"How was your day sweetie?" Asks Mom.
"It.....it was good." Answers Li. "Very different but nice."
